Bit difficult when you know your teammates are crap .. no movement around him, doubled and sometimes tripled up on as everyone knows we have nothing else at our disposal. 

 

If I was Abdul id put a request to leave in January.  If he was in a mid table premier league team with more space because everyone's a threat he'd absolutely rip it up

He struggled first half but was unplayable for the last 15 minutes, despite them muti-marking him.

 

And it very much looked like a penalty at the end.

Am I just thick or is passing him the ball then running away, leaving him 3v1 to try and do something magic ISN’T REALLY A SOLID PLAN?

 

Imagining Fatawu with prime Ricardo overlapping with support from Tielemans and Maddison, and I just want to weep

Embarrassing, along with his post about the Coventry game the other week. Culture at this club is absolutely pathetic.

 

He's lucky he scores the odd worldie because that alone should get him a move out of this hellhole this summer.

This is what we're missing. A system where full backs support their wingers with over/under laps, safe in the knowledge the system is designed to look after what's behind them. 

 

Also, Fatawu in the team we had a few years ago would have been the difference between those two 5th place finishes and champions League. We never solved the lack of proper RW problem. Means nothing now of course.

Hes going to get a lot worse against Millwall. This sort of tweet wont help him. Opposition will just be out booting him so he’ll get sent off with his reaction now

Not having players overlap in systems like this isn't innovative. It's just making us ****ing predictable. So much time spent on trying to make us defensively sound yet anyone runs at us and we fold. 

 

It's why you need at least some pragmatism from a manager. But sticking to one philosophy for Kompany got him a reward at Bayern despite relegation. Heading for being the worst Premier League team ever and maintaining the same philosophy got Martin Rangers. We are rewarding failure in football now. Making it worse to watch. It's quite sad.
