The guys from Second Tier (the championship football podcast) ended the show today by telling everyone to keep Abdul in their thoughts, and wished him well as he comes back from this injury.

It’s a common theme in this club. We have no tough guys anymore. Schmeichel, Morgan and Huth would not stand for this. Fatawu is just a kid, granted. Nevertheless, as a winger, if you don’t think that you are going to get kicked about in the second tier of English football - you are extremely naive. Posting this just indicates individual and collective weakness. If you are Milwall and preparing to keep our best player quiet: just kick him. This post literally advertises this on social media. Apart from Vardy, we haven’t had a hard man in the squad for ages. We need a nasty midfield general or a Wasilewski type defender, nobody is scared of us. Take Sunderland as an example; they’ve assembled a squad of talented young players with Xhaka in the middle. You need a couple of players that are going to keep receipts. I do not buy into this anecdote that the game has shifted away from this. Success at any level in football does require mastery of the ‘dark arts’

He needs to get rid of the ball quicker, especially when he draws a few op players towards him.

Also, Why do we never switch him to the left, Especially early in games to confuse the opposition. As the opposition always double up on him on the right from the start of games.

Agree. Much better that we instil more keepball and play it back to the fullback, or better yet, the keeper, if possible.

I think my 4 year old has had worse grazing her knee and just got on with it. Pathetic.

Does year four year old play professional football?

It's quite a difficult argument to put across when he's our top scorer and assisted last game....however....

I actually think hes been quite poor for a while & a couple of wonder goals have plastered over that fact.

Far too predictable and actually gives the ball away an awful lot.

I don't want him dropping, because he's our most dangerous player (says a lot) but im not falling for the hype.

I think he'd be quite average in any team with any quality which is probably why hes still here after all the worries of him leaving.

I think he'd be good in a better team with better players around him. He's only young and has been given the responsibility of being our sole source of creativity and teams have worked out that doubling up on him stops our attacking threat. He won't be here after this season anyway.

The fact he's doubled up on, means folk getting paid to prepare opponents to play us disagree with you.

All our wingers act like they are making YouTube step over compilations.  They have been ruined by the manager and his shit/lack of tactics.  On the rare occasion they do get some support, they ignore it and the quick cross or shot into the box.

Marti needs to get the midfield to thread balls into space for wingers to run at these defence, try and get an early yellow like Barnes would do.

An overlap from our full backs would be great as well.

If not trebled up on.

Its a shame non of our central Midfielders get in behind the defensive line like they used to with Enzo. Itd help Fatawu out so much. Saying that, if we could move it a little quicker to the oppsoite flank that would help too and we dont seem to do it at the moment.

He's getting doubled up on because hes seen as our most dangerous player...

Not particularly hard for him in a team even Remploy would struggle to assemble.

You would a manager with half a brain would see this every week and make changes. Work out the space where the extra markers are from and target there. Offer support to the wingers, overlap and play out the back quicker.

Sadly we have a crap QPR manager who has shown no improvement.

If he hadn't have scored a couple of screamers this season, people would be holding him as accountable as the usual suspects. His response to the fans at the end sums up the larger issues at our club, embarrassing response.
