Their positional play off the ball for just a few months was honestly amazing, and the signs of a good coach. They also played in a way to allow us to have possession in areas they wanted us to have it in, and made it difficult for us to get going. The thing that impressed me the most with Enzo is that I saw the identity and patterns of play immediately. The players got it and were able to execute. Cifuentes was able to do the same. The big question mark is why did it go wrong this season? I know he was not backed fully by the board and this left him frustrated, but that could easily happen with our current board too. However, in my mind I am thinking of a Cruyff style 433 with Fatawu and Mavididi on the wings, rotating with Monga as the 10 and Ricardo as the Foxes version of Dani Alves. And it feels a bit naughty in a good way to think of such things! The only issue is the striker, but we will probably loan one in for the season. I don't think this guy is the next big thing in football. My preferred candidate was Carlos Cuesta, the new manager at Parma, who is 30 years old and was Arteta's assistant. But I think this is actually a good pick for our current squad and situation. Exactly, what happened this season is a question mark, but it’s important to remember he fine tuned everything with close to no money. I think a simplistic version of explaining to anyone that is interested on Marti’s style without going into too much detail is Liverpool under Arne Slot. Very very similar philosophies from an each position identity but also very solid defensively which shouldn’t be ignored. 1

There was an arrogant, obnoxious QPR fan in a box behind me that deserved twatting. Hope that he's pissed off that we might have their manager. 1

From what I have read and heard from some QPR supporting mates, he puts a big focus on youth and player development, encourages the attacking players to play free. I agree hes unlikely to be the next big thing, but he has characteristics of Nigel and may just be the one that steadies the ship whilst developing our real asset in the academy. Main thing is theres a longer term pathway with him, rather than just getting back to the prem at all costs with managers like dyche. No guarantees in football, but of the options realistically available he has the right attitude towards youth and development whilst also showing he can set up teams for success. 2 2
