Mads - Shining light in a black hole last season and may persuade him to stay longer

For half a dozen games - the rest he was sub par especially after injury, let’s not kid ourselves

Nelson was very loud and talkative in the friendlies, they clearly see captain material in him, so give it him.

Future definitely , but it’s too soon maybe VC if he is  a stater and i think he will be

Has to be Ricky P purely based on seniority but we really do lack leaders now to take the role. The days of strong characters like Morgan, Huth, Vards, Kasper etc couldn't be further away.

I really want to see Nelson get decent game time this year. He looked great last time we were in the championship. Calling for him to be captain or vice captain are a tad premature I'd say though.

Ricky is obvious choice for club captain.

If he isn't fit then it gets trickier for pitch captain. Maybe Mads if he's still here.

Ricardo would be my choice as Captain and JJ as VC

Ideally a midfielder should have one of the roles but I only see leadership quality in MF from Winks however his commitment to the club appears patchy. Ayew another option. Develop leadership skills in Nelson & the goalkeepers for following season.

Ricardo captain

Nelson vice captain or JJ

Has to be Riccy 🩵 Nelson is encouraging for the youth players and I think he will be a key player this season

Or JJ, good confidence boost for him

With our current squad, we don’t have many natural leaders. A captain should be a mixture of leadership qualities, experience and balance. It’s either Riccy P or Ndidi. For me Ndidi edges it. He also has a business degree that he studied for whilst playing for us, which must mean he has a certain amount of discipline in his mindset.

If he has a business degree, perhaps he should be running the club as well as being captain

Don't like strikers being the captain. Should be a defender who sees the play unfolding before them and can direct the play.

It also has to be someone the players respect and will listen to. I feel it's too soon for Nelson so Riccy would be the ideal choice.
