woznotwos Posted 13 August 2025 Posted 13 August 2025 If we weren’t after him maybe we are just not on the market. No credible links to anyone other than outgoing.
Spudulike Posted 13 August 2025 Posted 13 August 2025 Bullet dodged. Sign players from the third tier and that's where you end up. Vards being the exception not the rule, obvs.

You won't go far wrong buying the best player in the league below who is very young, Maddison fitted this profile when he signed. Ivan Toney also came from League One, there are plenty of "exceptions to the rule". 6
DezFox Posted 13 August 2025 Posted 13 August 2025 I find this one odd, clearly we’re never interested or even heard of him. Expect we will go with Ayew and daka. If we get anyone it will will someone who has played higher and will be on more money and is generally on a downward trajectory. Not much happening at all, fully expected. 1

Yeah we signed Maddison from the Championship AND WHERE ARE WE NOW GERARD? 1
FoxesFourLife Posted 13 August 2025 Posted 13 August 2025 Screams lack of ambition by him enjoy championship mediocrity
coolhandfox Posted 13 August 2025 Posted 13 August 2025 I just don't think we were really interested.

Old Fox Posted 13 August 2025 Posted 13 August 2025 Whilst having potential we have lots of those already in Evans, Monga, Alves, Jospeh, Page, Aluko to name a few - I would much rather us sell off those that we can raise funds for those who do not want to be here - if that means we have funds for one or two players then get the right players - I think a quality striker is critical and probably one who is slightly more proven even if overseas otherwise we will stick with Ayew and Daka plus a loanee!

FoxesFourLife Posted 13 August 2025 Posted 13 August 2025 Not really he would be surrounded by better players supporting him and will score themselves he will have more time to bed in at QPR he would be expected to score goals to keep them in the league they have struggled for a few seasons now
RowlattsFox Posted 13 August 2025 Posted 13 August 2025 When you look at the teams who were also linked with him, I was never convinced we were in for him.
