People keep mentioning Daka, are you sure he was on the pitch ?

I don`t remember seeing him

Made a really good defensive header from a corner, ran around abit and got easily muscled off the ball. Not alot else.

So at this moment in time, for stark reality, how far removed & distant are we from:

1) Beating Everton 3-1 at the KP in May 16

2) Winning the FA Cup final 4 years & 3 months ago

3) Going to Rome for the ECL semi 3 years & 3 months ago

To where we are now with the quality of players we have AND team spirit and health of the club. Stunning ineptitude & sadness.

Thing is players can’t have this attitude. They are paid a **** tonne to perform and represent this club. If they hate it that much ****ing mutually cancel contract, entitled ****ing bellends.

Absolutely - there are bare minimum standards. I know Arteta gets stick, but you can't agrue that he hasnt got rid of their dross with a similar approach

Sad thing is that getting gunned in this cup reduces the chances of playing some of the youngsters in the early rounds. I suspect Martis next move will be to shore up the team with failing older players. Not great all round.

Thought we looked a bit like we were treating it as a friendly. I get that it's not a competition we were going to win, but too many people just happy to turn up and put in minimal effort today. Gonna need a decent league performance or two to settle some unease.

Just compare the crap we have on the books now. Recruitment has been absolutely terrible.

I’d take Maddison back whilst he’s recovering on his hospital bed than some of these pricks.

Thankfully a small percentage of fans have a memory longer than 90 minutes though.

Faes is symptomatic of what is wrong here. He and Winks are supposed to be leaders in this squad and what vibe are they giving off? That the fans are mugs you can give it large to even after two relegations.

Oh dont worry mate I have a memory longer then 90 minutes, just didnt agree with a post having a dig at a player who, out of most tonight, was probably the best of a bad bunch

Dont get me wrong, whilst Im not a fan of the way Wout has behaved, hes not a robot, hes let emotions get the best of him, as have we all at times when people around us are having a dig

Not sure we really need to single out Ayew.

I mean, he hit the target which is already better than BEK.

Ayew hate is getting a bit boring now, especially as - whether people like it or not - he's actually one of the better players in our squad (yes worrying i know)

Ayew is one of our better players, (low bar)yes he’s slow but at least you can see he is a footballer, some of the others i’m not sure.

How on earth have we spent so much money and ended up with such an appalling squad of players.

Our demise will be studied.

The answer to that my friend is -

Top the Nepo Baby,  allowing Teflon Jon, and we'll..  the board in general really, to continue to run all aspects of the club so  incompetentley whist in turn taking no ownership for their mistakes, and refusing to learn from said mistakes, all for say the last 5 or 6 years at least.

Until Top sells up and fvcks off and the new owners sack Teflon and 'Sue and the gang' we will continue along the journey of our demise  and never get any better.

No this is not a knee jerk post due to the result...the vast majority of us think the same, and tonight has just reconfirmed it.....

What the hell did he do wrong. He was our best player when came on

Not tonight. His attitude is terrible. It’s a disease that runs through these ****ers. We have to get rid of them and build a team around the youth

Pre-game I wasn’t overly concerned about the result - I was more interested in our players application.

There are very few players tonight who should be expecting to be selected to start on Saturday. Those not regularly starting should be performing to a level that gives the manager a problem. He’s already picked his team for Preston.

My concern now is there is too much to do in what remains of the window. We need to get things moving asap. Get the Okoli and BEK deals done and sign a starting centre mid, 10 and centre forward. Use the loan market to then improve as many other areas in the squad as we can.

That was concerning tonight.

sadly the rest of these numpties have had 40 games or more to show they’re not up to it. These lads get 1 or 2 goes and that’s it. Mess all round.

Marti’s got a job on his hands

this league will not be a walk over not for this team. Based on that showing we have a lot of problems to fix.

im hopeful it will get sorted but not 100% confident we will get promoted

I'm 100% confident we won't get promoted.

I said pre match it would be difficult, as they’ve started well, but with that team we should have beaten them. Disappointing to be out, especially at the first hurdle and especially to a League One side.

Marti trying to get the players over to the fans at the end and Faes was straight past him down the tunnel, disappointing because some of his play was the minor positives of a lot of negatives from those around him.

Disgusting behaviour and hugely unprofessional. You can hate the fans as much as you like but to simply ignore a directive from your leader is very disrespectful, particularly in the formative stages of the relationship when you're both getting to know one another.

You'd hope that he'd want to make a good impression, but the key word is 'want', and maybe he has no desire to do that. It tells you a lot about his character, I hope Marti takes a hard line with him over this, completely unacceptable!
