You couldn't ruin a club faster if you tried. Literally.

Genuinely not sure how there are still people defending our ownership. Our demise has been every bit as spectacular as our rise.

Didn’t watch this at all, sounds terrible.

That said, it was always going to be tough as they are a decent side and will be up there in league one if have thought.

Not defending anyone though, there are some worrying signs at this club at the minute.

I can't believe the stick a team that featured 8 academy players is getting.

If you can't support and find positives in that then you need to **** off and support another team.

At some stage all of them were academy players and I guess they had more from their academy who collectively matched us.

What was more worrying is the attitude. I’d have to say that their players and subs wanted it more than ours and that’s where I am more disappointed in our professionals.

Same can be said on Sunday where it took us ages to get on top of a depleted team.

I’m not that bothered about being out the cup but that was terrible. More than enough talent on that pitch to win, penalty’s shocking and take that No9 shirt off Ayew ffs.

Even Marti was unimpressed with the performance.

We are merely expanding to those players who are either not trying or performing way below what we could at least expect.

The Academy players are not those which we are getting stuck into - It is a concern that a number of these senior players lack of professionalism will rub off.

So much for Leicester having a deep squad. Some of those playing last night suggested otherwise. I'm giving Cifuentes support for the time being but if he thinks he can get that lot playing successful tippy tappy with the bulk of those playing last night, it's gonna be a long season. That is and was always the danger of Top pursuing this "modern" identity. Onwards and upwards. Preston will now be a very interesting game.

Thing is players can’t have this attitude. They are paid a **** tonne to perform and represent this club. If they hate it that much ****ing mutually cancel contract, entitled ****ing bellends.

There is a cancer in this club which needs weeding out.  Too many players earning megabucks just going through the motions without giving a fig about the club and even less about the supporters. Nothing will change until they are outed. That performance was mediocre at best....no passion,  no determination, no desire and even less pride. Too many players with misguided ideas of their own ability on bloated salaries rubbing salt in the wounds with negative attitudes. The disconnect between players and supporters has never been greater.  Marti has a job on his hands.

We have great depth in the numbers, just not in the quality.  Out starting 11 has several glaring gaps in it, so the 2nd 11 was never going to be any good.

We need to sort Winks situation out. If he’s staying he will be integral to this team but if he wants out get him gone and work on a replacement. Disappointed that he didn’t put himself forward for a pen in the shootout.

Bilal looked like he was going through the motions. Same situation as Winks for me.

If there really are potential moves on the cards for them both, they are bound to be a little careful intil it is resolved one way or another.

Think this season is going to be grim, but that it will largely reset the club.

The players out of contact at the end of the season alongside the ones we will sell by the end of this window should mean the squad is massively overhauled by this time next year, which gives me hope.

Players who will almost certainly limit us to mid table or relegation if we have to rely on them to start lions share of games.

Hamza

Skipp

Soumare

Thomas

Daka

McAteer

Alves

Nelson

all of these need to be subs at best if we are to be taken seriously.

who we need to build around

Stola

Justin

Ricardo

Vestergaard / Faes (bleughhhh)

Winks

Fatawu

Mavididi

El Khannous

Monga

Nice to haves but not going to tip the balance:

Ayew

Begovic

Page

Souttar

That means we need at least 3 starting signings to be anything like Competitive towards the top end. Its probably 4.

Midfield dynamo and 2 strikers minimum. and another left sided defender.

End of.

Marti could have learnt a lot last night.

Hamza can’t be trusted. One minute he’s making great tackles and scoring a worldie, next he’s giving away a daft penalty and not closing players down. He doesn’t have the brain to play at top level.

Nelson was very poor first half then improved in the 2nd. Nerves? If so he needs more work than we think.

Faes and Thomas played well. Whether we want to admit it or not Faes is our best centre back.

We need to sort Winks situation out. If he’s staying he will be integral to this team but if he wants out get him gone and work on a replacement. Disappointed that he didn’t put himself forward for a pen in the shootout.

Skipp and Soumare doesn’t work as a two. I would use Skipp as fresh legs to see games out purely in the 6 role. I actually thought Soumare did well last night, there were certainly players who played worse. I wonder if the hate towards him would go away even if he performed well consistently- my feeling is that many fans have made their minds up and nothing will change it.

Mcateer isn’t a winger- certainly not on the right. I would try to convert him as a 9. Got the attributes.

Mavididi looked sharp when he came on.Bilal looked like he was going through the motions. Same situation as Winks for me.

Monga and Page were class. They need minutes this season, both have a very bright future.

Alves needs a loan. Let’s see where he’s at when he’s had a full season under his belt.

Striker signing has to be a priority. Neither offer anywhere near enough. I would actually sign 2 and use Ayew in the 10 (either as a starter or sub).

I agree with a lot you say here. Marti made some changes and we improved with our fluidity and overall performance second half again. You can’t leak goals at any level. We are too vulnerable on the break and when players run at us. We need to work on this throughout the team as it undoes all the good stuff we do. We need to improve offensively too but when we started to click it was better. We can’t turn on the team after each match when we can see the right things being done and effort being made. One or two players are more culpable but I think marti is getting to know the team better and is making the right changes.

Great to see so many academy players in the pitch but some do need more time before they start but overall very positive signs.

We lost it on penalties. We have won as many as we have lost in that situation.

There’s something deeply disturbing regarding the culture of the Leicester dressing room, seems to breed entitled little worms with 0 self awareness, for Wout Faes arguably the most comical signing since Ade Akinbyi that has been complicit in 2 relegations to cup his ear to fans, and for Harry winks a man that didn’t even turn up to the stadium to witness our relegation to run around the pitch like impending doom and like there’s anywhere else he’d rather be is just a snippet of the rot in this squad, such an unlikable bunch of worms, aside from the young lads, unwatchable
