Believe it or not, we're clear 3/1 favourites to win League One. Oh to be a bookie!!

Can't wait for the 10 year anniversary 3/1 game in 2037

I think last season just proved that if we continue to operate the same way, we will continue to fall down the leagues

If you can take a club with a squad capable of pushing top 4 in the Prem into league one in 6 years.

Taking a club that is financially ravaged and struggled in the Championship into League two or lower doesn't feel far fetched at all does it?

A lot of clubs in similar positions have been able to recover after the people responsible have left. Unfortunately we're left with the same poor and delusional people responsible for the slide.

I did think when James went down injured at Wrexham it was a real possibility. You take him out of that side I'd go as far as saying it's one of the worst teams to play at that level - which is unbelievable relative to the money spent. Wednesday are obviously the worst ever but highly caveated situation. Very few teams get under 30 points in the Championship and I think if we'd never made that signing we might well have done, which is barely believable.

As for next season - hard to know what the actual short term floor of this team is. If we're going to half arse it (we are, obviously) and rely on the two Thomas' for regular starts, and continue to use agents for signings, then I wouldn't put it past us.

That seems like decades away (yes I know it is a decade away) where as the 2016 Everton game only seems like a couple of years ago still.

Of Course we really could drop another league. But it's way to early to make any predictions with no manager .

We can hardly field a team at the moment unless we use junior players.

What we need is a kickass strong Manager who can bring the players together and onside and  knows what he's doing.

Like this past season, it depends on how much money (if any) we have to spend on players and a new manager. In the last 12 months we´ve signed cheap players and managers, leading to relegation.

A good start would be to appoint a new manager ASAP so that he can assess the playing squad, get rid of the rubbish (if possible) and hopefully make some signings before the season starts. Last summer´s late appointment of a new manager was one of many in a long line of errors by the people "running" this club. Contrast that with the early appointment of Enzo.

So, yes, we could go down again but it SHOULD be avoidable.

it would be standard luck for us that man city get relegated to league 1 when we’re in it and desperate to go up

Actually…..  technically speaking… if they were relegated to league 1…. We may well actually be promoted by default  EDIT nopeeee Oxford finished above us lol

Surely, technically speaking, it would be Oxford who benefit, assuming you mean in terms of this seasons league position?

Yep! I never looked back at the end table, just thought we finished above them after the last win. Even more embarrassing

Oh no, we were mathematically out of the race to finish 22nd before the final day

Only just realised we’re playing in the same division as Bromley next season. Aren’t they pretty much AFC Barwell in terms of stature?

Christ.

Yep. It’s like a business making a loss year on year until it folds. There is no limit to how low we can go - our future entirely depends on affirmative action being taken, and all we can do is hope that happens.

Of course it's possible with our fools in charge. They can't organise a booze up in a brewery.

If they were taxing brains Rudkin x Nepo Baby would be exempt

I can 100 % say with assurance that unless there are massive changes we will NOT be promoted or even close. We are likely to be bottom half for sure.  The fact we are at June and the clubs done **** all is proof.
