Whilst it was great, the Title win gave the fans and clubs the delusion that we could compete regularly at that level and I think it’s still the case with large percentage. Be prepared for a mid table finish at best this season whilst we re-adjust our expectations

First point, king power didn’t get us back into the premier league. Nigel Pearson did. They took over, and he left, we were a mess, and then they had to get him back in to sort the mess out.

Yes KP initially offered an increased financial boost, but that was overseen by Nigel, it was him and his team that set the club up to be successful…. King Power benefited from this period massively.

Again they didn’t deliver us the premier league title, they didn’t go out a buy the players they didn’t set the team up….. again, they and Ranieri massively benefited from how the club was in operation at the time. It was a glorious one off, that will never be repeated again. After a bit of PL mediocrity Brendan Rodgers came in, and arguably took us to another level, he inherited an incredible squad, and produced some of the best football I’ve ever seen us play.

But even then he called out the fact the squad needed refreshing, he was part of the issue at the time, but he wasn’t wrong with stating that though…. Because it was true.

Our demise has accelerated since the loss of Vichai, but there were mistakes made even under him, the difference was he had the ability to correct them, and the foresight to change things when things started to go wrong.

Top has none of those things. He’s proven that he’s a petulant man child who doesn’t understand how to run a football club. He has over seen some tragic transfer windows, and he has allowed Rudkin without any accountability offer ridiculous and unsustainable wages…..

Top and his team are entirely to blame, plenty of other premier league clubs, smaller than us manage to operate competently without breaching the rules, and we have done now, on more than one occasion… I don’t like the PL and how they apply the rules, but we’ve only ourselves to blame for breaching them.

The fact some fans can’t see that what is happening here is unacceptable and frankly embarrassing is alarming….. we’ve had close to half a billion £ pass through this club since we won the PL, and we’re breaching FFP, and are now a million miles away from the likes of Nottingham Forest.

We’re in this position because of incompetence, and negligence at the board level, and nothing else.

Top and King Power are done here, he can’t run the football club, and we’re another bad mistake away from being Sheffield Wednesday.

But I guess a free beer and cake will make all the problems disappear?

I was saying this to a Wednesday fan in the hotel bar last night. Seeing what's happening to them is like looking into the future. Only my opinion but I think we are closer than a lot of people realise

New manager, new ideas, new season & whilst last seasons lame ducks are still here we can’t afford to write 20 players contracts off and start again, also it would seem no bids are forthcoming for those that we desperately want to go.

So at some point a line in the sand must have to be drawn by us the fans and accept this is who we have and who will represent our club this season & whilst we might not like those players it’s them that can get us out of this predicament by getting us promoted, note we have more chance of ridding ourselves of the unwanted if we are a premier league club as we will have more wiggle room on the books.

In the meantime we can continue to protest about how the club is run for sure but I don’t think after 2 games we should be getting on the players case and assume a relegation battle ensue’s because there is still one hundred and thirty two points to play for and we need them onboard with us to get as many of those points as we can.

Well we didn’t rid ourselves of the unwanted players last year when we were in the PL so not sure how that stacks up.

And it’s not after 2 games is it? Were you asleep last season when we put up with breaking records of the worst kind.

The minute I see this team look like they want it I will be right behind them vociferously again as I used to be.

I'll informed really. Chelsea buying selling the women's team and hotel is not breaking or bending the rules?

Man c's 115 charges all happened in the last three years did they? Or are they historic?

I'll informed no Everton Forest got done the next season we found a loop hole but now being charged. Three clubs all charged ASAP.

Man C facing charges 10yrs old and what have they won in that time they would not have had they been charged the following season after the rule breach?

No I'm not I'll informed and they should have been charged when breaking the rules as others have. Others with one charge. Will they get 4pts deducted for every charge for the following season?

Are they going to get stripped of every honour since they broke the first rule?

They should have been done each season like others not 10 fvcking years later.

No I'm not going to finish as I'm pissed at you and don't want a ban.

Bending certainly.

However Chelsea's company that answers to the PL rules has kept it's nose clean, that's all that matters, these clubs are run by rich successful men, rich successful men who have got to be rich and successful in parts by bending rules emplaced by international governments,  so if they are good at it (Top and co are not) they aren't going to have a problem with the PL,  using their holding companies, and selling assets for fair market value, using for sponsorship to shift money from other companies to the football club for high, but not completely unreasonable fee's. etc

I am not sure what more you want the PL to do other than charge them, the PL vs Manchester City has been going on for donkeys mainly because City have been fighting it and will probably continue to fight it tooth and nail, and have loop holes, something we are allowed to do apparently but no one else is according to you, there is not any conclusive verdict on if they've actually done anything wrong yet btw , you are making assumptions, and their lawyers seem confident the PL charges are misplaced.

I have no idea what will happen to them if they are found guilty, perhaps you should wait and see before you start getting irate about it?

This all detracts from the main issue, our club is a disorganised mess when it comes to it's running's. If we cannot even submit accounts we are going to get charged aren't we, we've made it easy for them and complaining about inconsistency in the rules detracts from the real issue, we need the club to be run in a far more efficient manner than it is.

Point 1 - its a case of me forward thinking, even last year you can't write off a 3yr contract but next summer its 1yr & if no bids you have more of a chance of writing that off & parting ways if we can't sell.
Point 2 - As i say new season, manager etc etc a line has to be set at some point to take that into account, some have set that at 2 games, you obviously still have it set in the 24/25 season, i'll give it a little longer for Marti to get his ideas over.
Point 3 - Linked to point 2 but boo away from names being called out before a ball is kicked, that'll get them fired right up.

Our fall has been nothing short of spectacular. It began with the dreadful summer transfer window of 2016, and there have been too many regular, baffling mistakes since to list.

I never thought we would be a football powerhouse, or compete regularly with the 'Big 6', but we had regular Premier League football in the palm of a hand.

The unbelievable thing is, nobody has been accountable for what we have become......a shambles.

No I expected it to us compete better than Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, Fulham, Burnley et al.

As it stands right now, we are worse than Coventry and even when we were shite, it was never that bad.

Bad take.

Not many fans, if any, expected us to consistently challenge again for the title, but it was reasonable for us to challenge top 8-10 given our budget, playing squad and Vichai himself went on the  record hoping we could reach Top 5.

The likes of Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth and Fulham are no bigger than us but show what can be achieved with a strategic plan, clever recruitment and strong management / leadership.

Our decline, culminating in the relegation under Rodgers was ridiculous, with Board, recruitment team, DofF and players culpable.

With Enzo we selected well but he left us up shite creek and the Club made some flawed appointments, followed by more poor player recruitment which again resulted in relegation.

We have a long road back, and we may never get back to being a top 10 premier league club that challenges for Europe and may be a cup win , but that definitely should not be beyond us and be our aim.

Unpopular opinion but I genuinely don't care less anymore.

Our fans that think that turning up at the stadium every week and buying merch from the shop etc, is actually helping the club are deluded.

The club is beyond broken and cannot be fixed without a major reset which involves new owners, new board and new players.

This owner, this board and the majority of this group of players do not deserve our money or support.

Top and his cronies do not accept they are doing anything wrong, because there is not enough dissent from the fanbase.

We've had project reset etc but ultimately we don't have enough of the fanbase on board to make real changes at the club.

Unless people are turning up to the stadium to protest and show their dislike to the board and the majority of our players, why are you even going to the games?

We are an absolute disgrace and our fanbase is allowing it to happen.

You’ve had some stick over this and I’ve no idea why.

Part of the problem is exactly what they are.

Go meet your mates or family in a pub instead of the football if they matter that much to you.

The owner, in 2014, said he wanted to be in Europe within three years. Was he delusional when he stated it?

But it’s not just one defeat is it, we have had 12 months of absolute garbage.

We had 12 months of garbage and no real hope of staying in the Premier league.

Last season we should have just concentrated on trying to move on as many high earners as possible to solve the wage bill as quickly as possible and battle relegation with pride instead of some half arsed attempt to invest in the squad we can't afford.

The board made mistakes over paying on  wages, but what I don't understand  is why they continue to make the same mistakes.

How do we end up with Winks on £90k in the championship, who on earth thought Skipp was worth £20 + million, why get Okoli when we've just extended Vestergaard's contract.

It was only  £3mil but why buy Woyo another full back.

I'll support Marti and his team 100% whilst he's here.

I'm grateful he's got the character and courage to accept this challenge and work for the shit show that is King Power and Rudkin.

The bloke literally encourages the club to ban fans he doesn't like and makes up lies about other supporters groups to support his agenda.

What's the point in that supporters club. Another load of idiots who back the lads by making no noise at all apart from clapping the team off after another defeat. That Linda Ginetta is worse than cliff, She is completely deaf to any criticism at the club.
