If we have any kind of agreement with the EFL on anything like a self-imposed embargo or business plan they would have that out in public themselves

They will have it in for us after how stupid we made them look last time, they wouldn’t just be getting The Sun to casually drop it into an article about a transfer rumour ffs

Exactly, the EFL would be parading what they've sanctioned us with

They would have been frothing at the mouth to announce such a thing.

No smoke without fire 🔥, funny comes out week leading upto Transfer deadline …

It’s simply incorrect, do you not think this would be all over the media if we had been placed under an embargo. And why would you put us under an embargo with a week to go? That would get challenged and quickly overturned because it would most definitely appear petulant.

It’s a none starter article.

If it was formal it would have been announced. What do the EFL gain from not making it public?

It is most likely a change of approach and hopefully preparing for more flexibility down the line. Constantly being near the edge of the limit cannot carry on.

Agree, it’s not formal, we would almost definitely know if it was, but I think its very unlikely we sign anyone for a fee this window based on the actions of the club to date

We are the only team in the league aside from Sheffield Wednesday to not sign a player for a fee. Make of that what you will…

It could be the case that we are maximising sales before spending, even a small amount?

We badly needed to get revenue in and players out first.

Maybe, one week left of the window and not a single reputable rumour of any incomings…

I reckon a few loans in close to the deadline is best case scenario, but let’s see.

The article says that “Leicester are not allowed to spend under their current restrictions”

Even if that was the case the EFL would still have us listed on their website alongside Sheff Wednesday and Hull who are currently under “Current Fee Restrictions”

I think the biggest hole in my argument that we are under a self imposed embargo is that we are talking about the same decision makers who spaffed £25m on Skipp in the last window 🤣

100% this we can't risk bring players in and being stuck with ones we can't shift.

Yes I know. Which is why this story makes no sense to me.

Perhaps the EFL have indicated they would take a more lenient view towards loans than transfers, or without the BEK sale there is still not enough leeway to make  permanent signings. It would be nice if Leicester could get say a striker in on loan/option now rather than taking everything to the wire.

Not knowing how many points we are gonna be hit with is scary. Maybe the club is  waiting to hear what it might be to get know for sure where it stands and how they will respond ie the customery court of appeals to get the punishment pegged down citing proactive financial behaviour. I don’t know maybe I’m clutching at straws. We have 1 week then we may know something is up.

Let’s be sensible there are no truthful honest or accurate journalists in the world and that applies to the asunder more than anyone. This is not opinion but based on fact I have observed first hand lies from the BBC, CNN and others. At this moment in time we can sell and sign anyone there is no instruction form football authorities actual, implied or agreed. The charges against us have not even been heard yet. If you analyse our finances it is reasonable that we may be censured if not for this fiscal period certainly for the next one. Right now like any sensible business we are reestablishing compliance in a new budget environment. We rebuild but that’s not the view of journalist why let accuracy get in the way of a story. The reality is that with the crooked PSR it will take 3 seasons to get us back on a level where we might aspire again to the EPL. Look around other clubs are being held back by the corrupt EPL and EFL so do not believe the Sun.

I think we have to submit a business plan probably why we haven't splashed out to show we are sustainable and will get docked less

We haven’t been placed on an Embargo. That much is clear because it would be plastered all over the media.

But I do think we’re trying to prove to the powers that be, that we’re doing all we can to remedy the situation…… another classic example of our bumbling board room.

So what would ypu have the Board do.....stick two fingers up to the football authorities, or work quietly and diligently to convince them that we're going to toe the line?

We will get hit.we should have done our incoming business first. Expect our punishment released this week.

The Commission hasn’t sat yet. We won’t hear about the punishment for ages.
