The transfer market in the Liga MX continues to be talked about, being Necaxa who will ring the bell with the hiring of striker Julián Carranza from English football to support the attack.

With information from César Luis Merlo, the hydrocalid team has reached an agreement with Feyenoord, the team that owns its letter, for the purchase of the attacker for a figure close to 4 million dollars.

After a good 2024-2025 campaign with the Rotterdam team, he was sent on loan to the Championship's Leicester City, however, he did not manage to have regularity and they sought to give him a way out in the recent transfer market.

At 25 years old, Julián Carranza has a good poster, after passing through Banfield of Argentina, as well as Inter Miami and Philadelphia Union of the MLS.

Oh good. He smacked of desperate deadline day signing.

An afterthought.  Yet we knew for months and months in advance that without vardy we had no striker worthy of the name.

To send us into a season without a functioning striker was a new low for Rudkin.

Which is why we’ll always be fcked for a long time unless wholesale changes are made at board with no yes men and a proper organisational structure that plans in advance.

We should have a long list of players whether that’s buy, sell or loan that we’ve done our homework on. This signing was clearly not the case and it’s baffling how the ownership thought we could still be challenging for anything (let alone Europe as they professed) if this is the level of ill thought out signings in a position having just lost our most influential striker ever. In any normal situation that person would be immediately collecting their P45. It’s pathetic really.

Like Stan said we need to replace wisely. So not filled with confidence.

it’s either Antonio, which is worrying what terms the club will offer him and if he can even play at this level anymore, Evans gets a shot or a player which Jon’s favoured agency can scrape together.

Good, he’s dreadful.

The fact Daka and Ayew both look better options speaks volumes.

another, well thought out great signing from our esteemed recruitment team.

I wonder if we somehow get a win out of this in terms of getting something back for him going back early or it was just mutual.

I'm sure Rudkin got a few hand jobs out of this deal:brendan:

And yet it passed with barely a murmur at the time.  I remember being widely derided for calling this out in the summer.

Carranza loan being terminated and heading to Argentina on a 4 year deal with Rayos de Necaxa.

According to Argentine journalist cesar merlo

Another one on the bad list for Martin Glover. Got a few too many of these sort of signings who add very little while they are here. Tete, Souttar, Edouard, Carranza. Just to add to the other poor signings while he has been here

I’ve gone very “football manager” here but, let’s be honest they do base transfer clauses on real world.

The “unused” loan fee extra payment applies when someone is left out of a squad entirely. So I’d assume he’s on the bench so we don’t have to pay that.

Im choosing to believe its this. Likewise kept on 9 league appearances.

Though that implies Marti's squad selection is board impacted which I don't want to believe.

I’d say that’s clearly the case, and Marti will have been managing it to hopefully have funds to spend at some point.

Soumare, Winks and Faes disappearing completely before January after being kept in the team for the rest of the season before it tells you they think we stand more of a chance of selling them in Jan should they have been playing.

I’m also very suspicious of the Vestergaard injury happening at this time meaning he missed 2 games but maybe it’s wishful thinking that we could get rid of them 4 in Jan.

The most remarkable element of that is that we needed to see him on the pitch 9 times to realise he’s total pants. It was obvious to most after 2-3 appearances. 🥴

I don't mind this, rather us try players out on loan than buy them and be stuck with them.

Pretty sure Eduoard would have been loads better if we had bought him and not just loaned him.
