The transfer market in the Liga MX continues to be talked about, being Necaxa who will ring the bell with the hiring of striker Julián Carranza from English football to support the attack.

With information from César Luis Merlo, the hydrocalid team has reached an agreement with Feyenoord, the team that owns its letter, for the purchase of the attacker for a figure close to 4 million dollars.

After a good 2024-2025 campaign with the Rotterdam team, he was sent on loan to the Championship's Leicester City, however, he did not manage to have regularity and they sought to give him a way out in the recent transfer market.

At 25 years old, Julián Carranza has a good poster, after passing through Banfield of Argentina, as well as Inter Miami and Philadelphia Union of the MLS.

4 million, damn how the hell have Feyenoord manage to get this for Caranza, when we've let +200M worth of players leave for free in recent years.

Surely we've got to try and get Piroe in?

Other option could be Shim Mheuka at Cheslea, but we may as well give one of ours a go over loaning in an 18 year old.

I’m about 22 stone.
I’m 36 years old.
And the most competitive football I’ve ever played was in a ‘Man vs Fat’ tournament.

Yet I’m sure I’m faster, more composed and have a better eye for goal than Carranza.

Not wishing to defend him (although if you were a defender it would be a piece of piss) but he's only played 300 minutes.  I don't think he's had enough of a crack at it to be in our worst ever bracket.  Player nor signing.

One of our best performers this season.

Shame he's going but we put him in the shop window and because of that somebody has rightly snapped him up.

Up there with the likes of Messi and Maradona as one of Argentina's finest talents, just didn't quite hit those numbers in a tough English league. Messi et al would struggle in the Championship so it's no surprise.

But it is damaging because it left us without any firepower whatsoever

Agreed but at least we're not paying him off for another 4 years or whatever.

Another poor signing on the whole - recruitment here is just a joke nowadays. Glover's got to go now.

Recruitment just fills you with dread these days doesn't it.

Struggling to think of a name worse than this bloke who's played up front in the last 30 years.

Elvis Hammond.

Edouard.

Lee Morris. Although that’s probably unfair; you’d be hard pushed to claim he played at all.

Some of the exaggeration on this forum these days is crazy. In my first seasons as a ST holder I watched Elvis Hammond, Mark De Vries, Luigi Glombard and Chris O’Grady lumber around the pitch lol

Isn't his lack of minutes damning in itself?  I mean it's not by accident.  He only needed to be better than Ayew or Daka to get the nod.  As bars go, it couldn't really be any lower.

Maybe, but it also means you have total trust in Martis judgement on which player to choose.  Yet people are constantly saying he hasn't got a clue.  Like I say I'm not defending him, but he's barely been a cameo performer for us.  We have had by far worse signings.  And in terms of worse players, again it's a bit difficult to put him in that category given the shit we've had and the minutes he's played.

Some wild names on here, and every single one hasn’t been as bad as Carranza.

Carranza, in my opinion and its probably harsh, is our worst ever striker.

They weren't all as ineffective as Carranza though.  De Vries actually looked good, albeit in one game - that Spurs cup game.  lol  Hammond scored in that one too!

He’s the worst Argentinian player we’ve ever had

I think a few people called him out really early an stated that we’d never see him score for us.

He just isn’t at the required level relatively speaking.

Édouard!? His only contribution during the whole loan spell was an air kick and the ball bouncing off him.

His signing - like Edouard’s - is why a lot of us are boycotting the next home game. It’s been like winding back the clock when agents pump you full of shit signings. Does anyone remember Marco Ferreira who was signed on loan in 2007 and made the grand total of zero appearances https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marco_Ferreira - if you recall we weren’t well run back then, but look at some of the similarities.
