The guy has had no real run in the team no run of games no ressies football to find his groove i love the fact the ressies is now u21s but it does hinder teams when their bench players get zero minutes for months on end then get dropped into first team action

But this goes for every player not playing.

That's what training is for. I get that 'match sharpness' can increase performance a few percent, but if the level we've seen is what he shows in training, then he truly isn't good enough.

Another Edouard-level failed transfer.

Any chance we can sublet him to Fuchs down at Newport?

They need goals. Would be a disrespectful way to treat a club legend.

Daka scored 7 and assisted 5 in just short of 1100 minutes (20 games) last time round in the Championship.  They're very good stats.  Perhaps they naively thought he would replicate that again at the level.

When Daka scored his solitary goal of this season, that ended a run of (I think) 51 games without scoring.  I know they weren't all full 90s but it was a record a fullback would wince at.  Lets not pretend we didn't know that Daka was not a viable option for this season, hence starting the season behind Ayew who isn't even a proper striker.

When I said they probably naively thought, I probably should have said naively hoped.

Let’s talk about this fellow.

The new Eduardo.

Losing at home and yet again he doesn’t get on the pitch.

Who decided to sign him? Obviously not the manager who now refuses to play him!
He’s looked awful in the few games he has played so why did we sign him?
Whoever scouted him (if at all) needs sacking, another waste of a loan spot and yet another moronic decision by one can only assume the DOF.

We go from one disaster to another without learning from our mistakes.

Why have him on the bench if he has no intention - seemingly - of bringing him on? Hasn't had a minute since Middlesbrough on November 4th!

I wonder if he’s stuck on 9 games because there’s a clause that if he plays 10 it triggers his loan meaning we have to keep till the end of the season.

Very likely this

Marti politician in reply to the question when asked twice why he’s not bringing Carranza on.

Well if there is any truth in the theory that there's some sort of trigger at 10 appearances, he's probably not going to openly call it out.

One thing I'll back the manager on is keeping this guy off the pitch at all costs. But why have him in the match day squad???!

Perhaps there's something contractual about him having to be made available if he's fit.

Or maybe we're just that desperate and short.

I’ve always thought of him as an out of his depth trialist rather than a loanee which begs the question shouldn’t we have had him over for a trial / training spell before committing.
Can’t remember if it was part of the last minute scramble to get somebody, any body, a body, in, feels like a six year old playing Football manager thought “woo, a snazzy name, sounds good” or if he is as easy on the eye as the ladies sat behind me claim maybe Susan Whelan mistook player recruitment for Tinder and swiped right before reading the profile :dunno:

I get that he's hopeless but would it have hurt to bring him on for Skipp instead of Hamza late on? Put two players up front and pretend we needed to get something from the game? Give players like Monga and Abdul another target instead of the 35 year old has-been?

You have a seven-man bench so you have options. Why have attacking options if you dont use them when you need a goal? If he's that bad put Evans or anotger academy kid there.

Didn’t someone say he is on 9 appearances? Makes sense that there is probably a clause to buy him that we want to avoid activating at all costs.

Knowing us, he probably also has a clause that means he needs to at least be on the bench when fit.

I think it was sort of acknowledged quite quickly that this bloke wasn’t going to be great when we all

looked at the stats.

Bizarrely he’s not even Edouard levels of good, As I think he’d have scored goals at this level, as he’s showing this season.

We seem to have developed a bomb squad and this fella is a part of it. I’d likely guess he’s got a 10

game trigger but why he’s on the bench then not used, is again just weird.

You’d think we’d put Jake Evans on it, for nothing more than getting him acclimatised to being on a match day squad.

Carranza’s top contribution since joining us seems to be modelling crap for the King Power shop.

Another Rudkin masterstroke , signing of the season

With a budget of sod all you have to gamble. It's not paid off. Hindsight is 20/20, we took punts on three loans and two have worked and one didn't. If we were doing it again we'd probably sign Bamford instead but plenty here wouldn't have touched him at the time.
