Yeah but Oxford are also terrible. Whereas Preston are a somewhat respectable team at this level.

Interesting take re Oxford.  This, has got banana skin written all over it.  They are very good from dead ball situations.  Watch, the Coventry game on you tube.  (highlights)  they will be no pushovers.

Yeah it'll be a battle, we need to make sure we approach this in the right manner and be as physical and determined as we were vs Birmingham. With some better midfield options now, I hope we can take control of games a little more as well.

I'm basing a lot of my opinion on watching their pathetic performance vs Brighton reserves to be fair lol

If we're genuinely looking to be play offs and trying to trouble the top 2 this season though, this is the sort of game we should turn up, put in a professional performance and pick up a routine 3 points.

We can say every game will be tough to be fair. Sometimes you've just gotta hoist that flag and say, we're the better team and if we turn up with the right attitude we should be winning.

Was that oxford's first team though? Also that Brighton team contained a number of recent £10m+ purchases that are being integrated into the team but are not necessarily worse than Brighton's starting options.

Oxford made eight changes from their previous league game, so I don’t think we can read anything into the Brighton game.

Pretty similar team to the last game with only 1 of the new signings starting, i would assume Ramsey for page given he has not been on international duty.

excited for all 3 though.

Ramsey - was a supposed to be top player before knee injury so will be coming here to prove he has still got it.

JJ - again was a top talent with mature head on his shoulders.

Carranza - new striker and foreign🤣

I still need to reprogram myself for the new 'JJ' reference :P

If there is one thing that I have learned from  decades of supporting Leicester, it is to be a pessimist.  However, I can't quite understand why so many are so wary of the mighty Oxford United.

I don't get it.   This will be a routine win or I'll eat my hat.

Will that be with salt and vinegar? 😂

Shows how far we have regressed if we now fear Oxford however good they might be.  Not so long ago we were playing top European teams. We need to get our act together but with our new signings we can start the long road back.

Just glad the international break is over and we can get back to business. They become more and more excruciating every time. :twitch:

This will be a tough game. Just looking at their results, they’ll probably feel they’ve been rather unlucky so far. Last one a 2-2 against an in form, free scoring Cov. Need to be on it.

Coventry should have been about 5-0 up by half time.

As ghandi once said "never back the early kick off"

It's a game we should in theory win without going out of second gear.

1 a piece it is

He also said Hitler was misunderstood and belived in his mission and black people were deficient in intellect.
