I agree 100% he should have played rather than loaning in Mukasa.

Maybe not but we would have had a better chance if we had made him feel like a valued member of the squad.

 

The only draw we have over clubs higher in the pyramid is a route to regular first team football but we don't operate that way.

 

Forgetting the money and prestige of Man United, Page probably has a better chance of game time by going there and getting a loan than he does by sticking it out here.

Yep his interview of wanting to play a lot this season and be the guy clearly fell on deaf ears for RM who has marginalised him. Really depressing but reality of how low our lowest point will get, and this isn’t it yet

Isn't this the point of having Seagrave though. To develop young talent who cost us nothing and sell for decent money to a club higher up the food chain. 

 

Massively frustrating but surely that's the best way to get ourselves back on a financial even keel, that is sustainable longer term.

Evans, Hutchinson, Gray, Carr will move onto better things soon as well after clearly not being in the plans.

 

Braybrooke will be looking at the squad around him and thinking he can do better as well.

 

It's going to be a tough 2-3 seasons

The most frustrating thing about this is we're being picked off because we are where we are and the finances are in a perilous state.

 

If we were in the Prem he may still go but we would likely not have to sell and could hold out for the maximum fee possible. If we were pushing for Europe it's likely he'd stay and he could've become a club stalwart and future legend.

 

It's good that we have this avenue to bail us out of the quagmire we've made for ourselves but it still feels like pure sh!t.

 

Seagrave starting to pay for itself is all well and good, but is it too much to ask to have our own version of the Class of '92 who could propel us back up the leagues and have us challenging for trophies?

 

Another thing that sticks in the craw: Top selling off the family silver to save his arse, avoid future points deductions and the prospect of years in the lower leagues and/or a winding up order just so he can get the price he wants for the club and we can finally get shot of him

Is he too young to be loaned back? Assumed that was the case with Monga which was a shame.

The reality will be soon that Seagrave will be a huge white elephant (if not already) built to get and trained the best youth across the Midlands. But now the likes of Forest, Derby and Coventry will be ahead, especially Forest. 

 

A world class facility filled with ok players. 

 

At the rate we're losing the better  youngsters (deregister etc) we not likely to be producing any top youngsters that make it anywhere near the first team before they’re hoovered up and any financial reimbursements we get will be peanuts and not what Seagrave was built for. 
 

I’d imagine category one itself may even be at risk.
 

Seagrave is great but if our philosophy wasn’t then to integrate them and get them a clear path what’s the point. A golden generation used to keep the wolves at the door and then what.

We needed to get some decent leaders in so you’d hope now we seem to have done that a bit we’ll try and recapture the model that made us successful in the first place.. Time for McCarron to really step up now

There is a huge gap between what should be happening at the club and what is actually happening at the club at the moment. As it currently stands there's a lot of uncertainty around how much game time he would get with us at the moment.
