Think the responses in this topic kinda suggest you might be on your own here. Considering the shower of shit going on around him, he was one of our better players today.

He was at fault for their first goal though - failed to watch his man. Still, did well for his age and in a shit team . Good energy and should play next game.

Game of opinions - the mistake for their goal was very costly and his set pieces were poor in the 1st half.

I get we all want homegrown players to do well, I'm the same. But he wasn't good today, although did improve 2nd half.

Where did I say about dropping him? The whole team was rubbish today, and Page will only get better with experience.

Full debut, 17 and was easily our best player. Good movement, comfortable on the ball. Will become a very good player for us. Problem is most of the rest of the team are struggling either by a lack of ability or confidence. With no money and a potential points deduction it's going to be a long season. Changing the manager now with no transfer window left is pointless. This summer is going to be crucial for this clubs future. A complete restructuring from "Top" to bottom is required and I think that means new owners.

He had moments where you could see he was an inexperienced 17 year old but he definitely still showed up Hamza as being such a cowardly footballer

Constantly moving and constantly asking for the ball, at least it shows that he has the confidence (for now, Martí will soon ruin that)

Maybe just needs to stop putting so much loft on his corners when we have no one at the back haha

I wonder if this comes with age.

The ability to get the power and accuracy from a corner in the manner that Rice and Saka can do, for example.

Must be rare to achieve that for a 17-year-old.

He shouldn't have been taking them, too much pressure for the lad. It should have been the to a more experienced player I thought, who he again is poor management from Farti face.

He was always moving and did some nice stuff, but his inexperience did show from time to time, which is going to happen this early in his career, so I'm not going to judge too harshly. He had a muppet next to him which didn't help either.

Feel sorry for this kid having to play with these w@nkers.

We will ruin the poor lad

Don't think he had a good game if we're talking about what we need from a player in that position but he had a good game for the circumstances and what he's been thrown into. I think it can be more nuanced than he's great or he's shit. This place is far too reactionary.

He was at fault for their first goal but the flick on should never be allowed either. He was caught out positionally a few times too and they definitely exposed that earlier on in the game.

Throwing him and Hamza together was brutal. Hamza should be doing more to help him but the version of Hamza we have isn't the one other teams get.

The way the teams been put together this season has basically been like throwing shit against a wall until it sticks. It's not stuck much but when it has, it's like that'll do. Skipp and James was about our 11th attempt at a centre midfield pairing.

It's all such poor management. Forget what's going on above him. There were managers who could have got so much more out of this season.

For all the doom and gloom, he's providing the tiniest chink of light. Not like he's absolutely tearing up but more and more impressed with his maturity on the pitch. Physically, he's a completely different beast from the start of the season. We certainly had less control of the game when he went off yesterday.

Look forward to us having to sell him for £200k in League 1

I just think it’s such a shame he’s having his breakout season amongst this mess.

There’s moments where he looks like an inexperienced 17 year old but there’s also flashes of promise

He looks the real deal, very impressed.

he always shows for the ball and he carries the ball well.

him, Mukasa and James would compliment each other well, when in possession of the ball.

Which is pretty normal.

I think a significant goal contribution from him would massively boost his confidence as well. Probably should have had one at the home Southampton game from a lovely cross.

You could level this at the entire squad.

Oh yeah wasn’t meant as a criticism at all. He’s one of few that escapes any blame this season.

Although saying that since he’s come back into the side I think he’s looked way more comfortable

It's just a shame that he has no one at the Club to look up to and guide him. Someone like Tielemans would have been perfect for him to learn from.
