Would hate his playing career to be overshadowed by this team lumping him with a relegation. As much as MC hasn't shown any tactical or coaching nous to get more from the squad, I'm just as annoyed at the players for having ZERO personal pride. You can see it's rubbing off on the academy and the likes of JJ who must wonder what ladder they walked under to end up playing with Thomas, Okoli and Ayew every week. 5
Popular Post OntarioFox Posted 2 January Popular Post Posted 2 January Mulled it over and think that's it for me. I don't hate the bloke but he's clearly incapable of motivating these players to maintain their capabilities for more than 45 minutes, to the point that we're staring down the barrel of a potential second relegation scrap if the much-vaunted points deduction happens. He's got a squad that is honking for the most part, especially up front - but he makes it worse with the shit formation, obsession with wing play without cutbacks, and constantly inviting pressure onto the fullbacks through lack of support from said wingers. He deserves credit for improving our midfield after realising that Skipp, JJ and BDCR are the only three at the club worth playing there, two of which none of us had any faith in before this season, but that took 15+ games and it's still not led to a noticeable uptick in results. We can all see the tactical holes, and then you factor in the shithead players he's taken too long to drop and the almost guaranteed brainfarts from key personnel once or twice a game, and it's just untenable. I have zero faith in the board to find a different manager capable of putting a much-needed rocket up the squad's arse, though. 5
Chelmofox Posted 2 January Posted 2 January I know we are a secretive club, but i feel its strange for a bit of radio silence today. The LCFC twitter account has posted yesterdays interviews, buts thats it. After Marti's semi dig at something, i was expecting to get some sort of rumour.

Agreed. They will.James and Nelson have the potential to be top drawer and Fatawu Maybe.. Apart from these we have around 20 fairly poor to average Championship players,so very little individual ability at all.

Mavididi, Vestergaard, Ricardo played for when we finished 1. Skipp has been in the championship team of the year. Plenty in this squad to be better then what we currently are. Individual ability can be overcome by having a well coached, well drilled side. 15
Vowels Posted 2 January Posted 2 January The replacement can only be Rob Huth. I'll accept nothing else. Other than Wasilewski.

But noooooo, our players are so bad for the Championship level, Cifuentes has only been given the previous league winners minus a 38 year old striker and 2 midfielders. That means we should be mid-table right? 1

I had mediocre hopes that he might achieve something with us but I was so wide of that mark. 1

BrilliantFox Posted 2 January Posted 2 January Just now, Parafox said: Which highlights what a poor manager he is. We're being gaslighted by this fraud of a manager to think there are 12 teams with better players than us. In reality, we have the best team in the league on paper. He just can't galvanise a piss up in a brewery.

These players aren't so bad for this level that we should just accept not competing in games. 1

Muzzy_no7 Posted 2 January Posted 2 January They aren’t gonna do it are they?! We literally have a pack of toddlers in charge of the 6th most successful and important club of the modern era in the English game. Such a shame.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 3 January Posted 3 January IF he can keep us up, I would keep him. Make the change at the end of the season, 1

Watford and Hull are both in the playoffs and Millwall just outside, and I can't say there are any players from them clubs that id desperately want at LCFC. Difference is, their respective managers have got them playing a way that gets them results. We are not miles outside the playoffs and even with a points deduction, we could have a rally 2nd half of the season but it won't happen under Marti.
cruzFOX Posted 3 January Posted 3 January Would Enzo be interested in continuing his half finished project with us. He could have in his contract the choice of leaving as soon as he gets us promoted again ?

LVFox Posted 3 January Posted 3 January After West Brom is the ideal time to make a change if the board is even considering it. Would give 12 days before next league game (granted Cov away not the easiest first match for the new man). Kingy can handle Cheltenham in the cup. a little bit of a moot point, as I don’t think we will get rid of Marti unless we drop into bottom 3

He certainly doesn’t seem to know how to manage this group of players. The problem is, it isn’t clear that there is someone else out there who: a) would be an upgrade on Cifuentes; and b) would take the job.
