Tempted to put myself forward for the job.

I'm 2nd with us on Football Manager. Ayew has 15 in 22. Soumare and Winks have been that good for me that I've rewarded them with new deals. Got Brownhill on a free. Daka got a hat trick against Sheffield United. Aluko, Evans, Page and Monga have all become embedded in the first team squad.

Give it me till the end of the season

Can we boo you that you'll play Ayew, Winks and Soumare?

A serious multi-million pound football club should have a permanent short list of potential managers to approach in case their current manager is sacked or poached.

The sames goes for players. If a player is sold or suffers a serious injury, the club should already have a replacement identified.

Does LCFC operate like that?

Of course we don’t. That would require brain power and effort.

Can’t really allow him the game against Charlton as it will just be the sam crap again and it’s 3 points we really should get. If he isn’t gone by Tuesday I doubt he will be this week

But I've turned them into Fox favourites, Mr Fox_favourite.

With Top being there, even he can surely see that Marti is completely out of his depth and has lost the dressing room. Sack him, release some contracts of the players and start again.

I finished in the top 10,000 in the world in FPL in 2018/19 (but probably only 11,000 doing it then 🤣

That should at least get me an interview :)

I got top 5k in 2021. Move aside amateur.

Here's the plan ..... sack him on Monday.... get someone in after the transfer window has closed ... Great tactics

Well that would work for them as they know there's no money to spend and no pressure to get players in from the manager.

It always blows my mind that Stuart Broad finished 1st in the world once

Everyone always says this but it never, ever happens. The club aren't going to pay to get rid of assets for nothing when they might be able to get a fee - even if the majority of the time they don't manage to do so.

They won't do anything whilst the transfer window is still open, as they don't want to allow a new manager to come in asking for players.

They'll also not sign anyone in the window as they aren't confident in the manager.

They'll finally sack him some time in February and give it to Andy King for the rest of the season

Then there will be the continuous radio silence over the summer not appointing a new manager to reduce the opportunity for them to want to sign players.

Then they'll appoint a new underwhelming manager a week or two before the season starts so the manager has time to work with the squad, but not time to request transfers to improve the squad.

The team will be under prepared, lacking fitness, and struggle again.

Then repeat the process.

So they will basically delay every decision they make to reduce the opportunity for any manager to ask for new players at the expense of the team performances.

As I've stated before, Cifuentes' job will only be in jeopardy should we get near the bottom three or land in the relegation places.

Somehow, Top thought "we're leaking goals left, right and center, so let's go for a manager who is not known for putting emphasis on defending".

We've got the third-worst defensive record in the league right now.

At what point does a so-called professional manager start and question our back four and start shifting around, making keeping a clean sheet – you know, something we haven't done in 22 league matches – the top priority?

A strong back four or even a back five (make it 5-3-2 or 5-4-1, for all I care) and a reliable keeper (one that can command his box) instill confidence in the rest of the team.

We've hired a manager who lost 11 out of his last 23 matches with QPR, a team that conceded 63 goals in one season and finished 15th.

I guess finishing 14th at the end of the season will be "progress" to him.

*checks table*

Oh, how about that...

Okay, so this is when previous people left under King Power.

No pattern at all.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - 27 Jun, 2025 - Friday

Steve Cooper - 24 Nov, 2024 - Sunday

Enzo Maresca - 20 Jun, 2024 - Thursday

Dean Smith -  30 Jun, 2023 - Friday

Brendan Rodgers - 02 Apr, 2023 - Sunday

Claude Puel - 24 Feb, 2019 - Sunday

Craig Shakespeare - 17 Oct, 2017 - Tuesday

Claudio Ranieri - 23 Feb, 2017 - Thursday

Nigel Pearson - 30 Jun, 2015 - Tuesday

Sven-Goran Eriksson -  24 Oct, 2011 - Monday

Paulo Sousa - 30 Sep, 2010 - Thursday

Nigel Pearson - 29 Jun, 2010 - Tuesday

I mean there is a pattern.

Cooper, Puel and Rodgers on a Sunday after a Saturday game

Claudio the day after the midweek CL game

Sousa two days after Norwich.

Sven two days after a game

Pretty much everyone who could on that list, went straight after a game.

Oh, how about that...

Following the highly suspected -10 point deduction coming, we will be in the relegation places.

Oh, how about that...

He needs to change formation, because he's tried every combination in a 4, having dropped all players at some point in the season.

The problem has been whoever comes in doesn't raise the standards, they just drop down to the level of the others.

Marti can't get anyone to play for him.

I created a "Marti Out" topic back in September (I think) when it seemed I was the true minority and it was instantly deleted.

I journelled all my thoughts and reasons back then and it's horrible when people delete things as I'd like to remember what I said.

If you still have access @Mark could you be kind enough to PM it me or add to the bottom of here?

First half xg of 0.19 against a time who at the time had only won away at Sheff Weds.

Its beyond incompetence now.

I can’t belive he’s not been sacked 😂 we all know there’s problems at the club but this shows there is far more greater than we can imagine.
