More excuses for a manager out of his depth. it’s my opinion and also reading between the lines of where we were pre transfer window closing and what happened after it shut. Let’s see when the next manager comes in then or do you think Winks, Faes etc have been exemplary in their behaviour and there effort has been elite level and only held back by the manager. I believe the time has come where we have to make a change but make no mistake I hold the players more accountable a good few have checked out. 1
Stopharage Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 Even if he goes, the next poor sod is still going to have to play with Daka, Ayew or Ay Caramba (sic) up front. We have absolutely no cutting edge up front and it must be incredibly dispiriting to know that any chances you make are likely to be missed. Expecting Evans to fill this gap is too soon. Then add in the cavalcade of chaos at the back and you’ve got no chance. Our better players have now gone off the boil and Fatawu has looked fairly abject in recent weeks. Luke Thomas is bullied in every game and it’s clear he’s being targeted. It’s appalling.

Its nothing to do with anyone being elite, we are in the championship Not sure why you keep using the term elite. Its about having a manager who can motivate a group of players and give the a team structure, a style of play when we are in and out of possession. 1
Popular Post Noahfence Posted 30 November 2025 Popular Post Posted 30 November 2025 He could’ve binned Faes off and used Nelson from the start but no he stuck with Faes. Weak. 5
ozvaldo Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 Rudkin moves slower than old people fųck. Even if we wanted him sacked last night, it’ll take Jon and Top until about mid-Feb to make it official.
Edingleyfox Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 . Reading in DT about the recruitment at Sheffield United based on AI not scouting but at least yesterday they had a plan and posed a threat upfront. Marti was presented with a fire sale of our better players and what was available on loans or free transfers to plug the gaps. Issues with full backs and strikers pretty much ignored for a second season no money and points deduction to come. I don’t know if he is good enough but the squad need to take a lot more responsibility 2

I don’t disagree, but any competent manager could see the system has to change if none of our strikers can lead the line alone. It’s frustrating to say as our wingers are actually good, but I think we need to play 5-3-2 to get extra cover at the back and up front. A back five has steadied us before, and ignoring it now risks relegation. We've got the icing but no cake. Jakub Pereira – Nelson – Souttar – Okoli – Thomas Skipp – Choudhury – James Daka – Fats/Mav/Monga/Ayew Nowhere near promotion material, but enough to stay up. Probably.
Fazzer 7 Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 (edited) I've changed my mind on this. Stick with him until the January window. It's obvious there are problems with, I would say Faes, Winks and Vester. That was a much better performance in the second half and we were unfortunate to have not saved a point. I suppose what I'm saying is the problems are more to do with certain players than the manager. some of them clearly don't want to be here. Btw start Skipp in defence against the Rams. I think he'll surprise one or 2. Edited 30 November 2025 by Fazzer 7

Yes Marti hasn’t been great but there a good few players who should be taking a long hard look at themselves as well. it’s too easy to always blame the manager or his tactical shortcomings but that first half was on the players it was disgraceful especially Winks and Faes. 1
Claudio Fannieri Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 The clubs social media account on X has just posted Marti’s thoughts on yesterday so maybe he isn’t on his bike just yet
Sankey93 Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 Nahh he’s not going anywhere ffs! wtf is wrong with us.
les-tah Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 yep he survives again. The idiotic son strikes again. 1
crazies Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 He ain’t going anywhere fast. no money for players so doubt any money for compo either I feel like it’s a waiting game for points deduction is done and any xfer embargo put in place. Soon as that’s done the finances will be available to either back him or sack him. gonna be a long Xmas
Popular Post RoboFox Posted 30 November 2025 Popular Post Posted 30 November 2025 (edited) Kind of funny that we keep getting battered by teams that were shit but - y’know - sacked their manager. Edited 30 November 2025 by RoboFox 5
Ted Maul Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 Absolutely no point sacking him until the new structure is in place- Brussell would be nailed on with Top and Rudkin in charge.
Tuna Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 (edited) Don't know whether or not we are too cheap to sack him or too stubborn to admit their mistake, its not going to improve, its not going to work, just get it done and move forwards. Edited 30 November 2025 by Tuna 1
jbflcfc Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 I don’t think they’d post his reaction to the game today, if they were then to sack him? Maybe I’ve got it wrong
whoareyaaa Posted 30 November 2025 Posted 30 November 2025 He's not going anywhere. See if he leaves out Faes and Winks now. 1

Not the same though is it, Selles was sacked because he took a team that was relatively successful last year to not even win a game. Southampton were on a downward spiral like us but have had decent investment in the summer. We're in the league on a downward spiral and ALSO had no investment.

It his job to get the most out or them or not pick them. Enzo got a tune out of them, who management experience was 14 games a Parma. Marti has 300+ games of experience as a manager. I'm not excusing the players but there is no excuse for the manager. You think this squad should have less points than two of the side promoted from L1? Edited 30 November 2025 by coolhandfox
