Problem is you've got Thomas who's been the pits so far starting again with no one on the bench to replace him. He's the luckiest guy alive. He should be 3rd or 4th choice in any decent squad.

Thomas is pretty far down our list of priority problems for me.

If he had a Huth-Morgan, level of stable CB partnership beside him he would look like a different player and would at the very least be a competent squad player who still actually wants to be here, which is more than we can say for most.

Are you honestly saying he always get the ball by running on to it? No, he get the ball usually with his back to goal and 90% of the time passes. You have to be blind not to see it.

He gets the ball with his back to goal and then dribbles toward his own goal or falls over.  Attacks die when they meet Jordan Ayew.  Link up player he is not.

link up play suggests he releases the ball to his teammates. He mostly just runs down a blind alley, stands on it then falls over

At one point he looked to have so much potential ...

Dead pigeon in the away end. Welcome to Millwall.

Have a look on its leg, there should be a note saying “you’re sacked John, love Top xx”.

He had a purple patch where he got forward and looked half decent under Rodgers I think it was. Now he looks devoid of any attacking confidence, is an abomination at set pieces, is okay at recieving the ball with little pressure but a slight press he looks like it's a hot potato.

I've seen many teams, especially Cov target him.

Midfield 5 is at least the absolute best available to us. Nelson in and ideally Aluko/Evans involved, maybe Page and we'd be there. Definitely a step in the right direction at least.

Flippin heck can we just go out and play this lot ofc the park for once and close shoo with 2 or 3 goals early doors? It would be so refreshing!

Doesnt matter, a striker that spends the whole game in midfield instead of stretching play stifles the whole attack.

I agree, he’s not very good. But neither is anyone else we have as backup. Daka is probably better to have off the bench I don’t think anyone’s convinced on Carranza just yet

yes he does do this. But watch the game. He actually passes more than people realize and this in part to the fact people focus on him  Falling over ( trying to get fouls) listen, I’m not saying he’s any good, but the falling over is the stick people beat him with which draws away from how often he passes.

Late to this today as been building garage furniture. The return of Ayew. I'd have gone Daka up front I think. Its slim pickings isn't it?

Anyway, are we on Sky / red button today? Need to decide whether to rush back to the old house and watch.

Millwall are 4th, we’re 9th and we’re away from home so we might not play them off the park exactly, but I’m still hopeful of a win..
