He’s a builder, that’s why it won’t work at Tottenham. You can’t build a smouldering wreck.
winteriscoming Posted 4 December 2025 Author Posted 4 December 2025 Out of the 3 mentioned I’d rather have Mowbray as I don’t want Pearson and O’Neils reputation tarnished if it goes down hill. Also I don’t think you can keep going back to ex managers to come back and somehow inspire previous successes. You need to move forward from that era. I still maintain we should look abroad. Two names we should look at are Niels Frederiksen and Thomas Reis. Frederiksen especially as he has previous experience developing young players. Obviously these prats won’t have a clue about them. Svensson or Henriksen I’d also like us to get but zero chance again of us going for them or that we’ve heard of them. 4
Gazza M Posted 4 December 2025 Posted 4 December 2025 Surely they wouldn't hire a prat who's Rangers team was that bad the fans felt the need to block the players coach in the car park in protest!

If Top is serious about relinquishing control over managerial appointees to the new CEO and technical director, you’d hope that Martin wouldn’t even be in the conversation. 1

This is Top and Rudkin you are talking about. Anything could happen mostly for the detriment of the club 1

I’m not sure he knows anything about the club before they took over. Wasn't the Boro league cup final the reason why Top wanted his Dad to buy the club? So the story goes anyway.

I'd argue the building is done by those behind the scenes at Brentford much like Brighton 2

RoboFox Posted 4 December 2025 Posted 4 December 2025 I genuinely don't think we could attract Farke. Anyone with any sense takes one look at this bin fire club and waits for the next opportunity.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 4 December 2025 Posted 4 December 2025 Sam Allardyce refuses to rule out return to football, wouldn't mind him to be honest.

That’s the story. Personally I always felt it was a way to endear them to supporters. There’s always been a lack of acknowledgment of our history pre-2010, even when Vichai was with us. If the story was true, you’d think there would be more pride shown of those achievements. This is the irony of supporters who claim to have supported the club for 50 odd years and yet behave like a cult following, putting the owner above the club. They claim those who are calling out Aiyawatt/KP only started supporting the club from 2016 (complete BS), and yet unconditionally back an owner who thinks the club only mattered since 2010 when he arrived… 1
Molson Canadian Posted 4 December 2025 Posted 4 December 2025 i wish he would come back but realistically it wouldn't happen. But none of you on here can say you wouldn't want him again. i highly doubt it. and if by any chance any of you say you wouldn't want him back then your an ostrich
cityfanlee23 Posted 10 December 2025 Posted 10 December 2025 Sticking with the theme of the thread, i'm going to promote a name that isn't realistic at all, but IF the points deduction is say 6 points, and we got it down to 3 on appeal, and IF teams around us continue to throw games away and we are in touch of top 6, and IF the club bring in a very competent Technical Director, and IF the finances are somewhat back on track for our current level (we are looking to potentially buy a TD so there must be some money there) Could we coax Christian Streich to come out of his career break? It's not happening, It would need to be a Bielsa to Leeds moment, but given the quality we have in individuals, the facilities.... No he's not coming, goodnight

CrazyKopCorner Posted 10 December 2025 Posted 10 December 2025 Michael Carrick would fit the bill. Had Enzo’s pants down twice and surely can’t be worse than Marti 3
Muzzy_no7 Posted 11 December 2025 Posted 11 December 2025 Carrick with Woodgate as First team coach. Jody Morris available as assistant Manager too. 2
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2025 Posted 11 December 2025 I would be half tempted to go for Jack Wiltshire at Luton Town he's done fairly well there.

I'd forgotten him. As you say, he couldn't be any worse - having had six decent months at Cardiff is roughly equivalent to 18 mediocre months at QPR. On a wider note, I remain hopeful that someone down there actually knows what they are doing. Jordan James, Aaron Ramsey, Barry Murphy were all shrewd leftfeld deals. The sales of that pitiful imbecile Coady and JJ were decent business too. Someone, somewhere in the weird Buddhist monk, garish KP gold, forever in our hearts, don't sit on the front row world of Seagrave, there's a secret good 'un beavering away
