Love it when people try and play stuff like this off as a "nib" or something. Cringe.

Stop posting it. Its dumb, and means absolutely nothing at all thats factual.

Chris Coleman, the former Wales and Fulham boss, is under consideration for the vacant manager’s job at Leicester City, sources have told Football Insider.

Coleman is well-known to the Leicester ownership, having worked for their sister club OH Leuven in Belgium before his dismissal in June 2025.

The 55-year-old helped steer Leuven steer clear of relegation in his first season in charge, having taken over when the club were third-bottom of the Belgian Pro League.

Leicester are searching for a new manager following the sacking of Marti Cifuentes over the weekend, with first-team coach Andy King placed in interim charge.

The Foxes have high hopes for coach King and see him as a future manager, and feel Coleman could be the perfect mentor due to their long-standing association together with Wales.

Coleman is free and available having left Greek side Asteras Tripolis earlier this month, and would be interested in working alongside King to help the former Wales midfielder in his fledgling coaching career.

Imagine you’ve just broke up with someone. You’re low on confidence and ugly as fvck so you just scroll through your old numbers for anyone you already know who’s desperate enough to have a go with you.

I’m not sure where I’m going with this. Am I on the wrong forum?

I havent a clue who we'll go for. I just know it'll be jaw droppingly bad. If I'm still paying for a season ticket next month, presume I've died and I never got around to cancelling it

Rowett’s getting a lot of ‘he got sacked by Oxford’ shouts as to why people don’t want him which I completely get from looking at the outer picture.

It’s worth noting that he got sacked in his second season there.

In his first season he came in midway through the season replacing Des Buckingham and here’s his record from 20th Dec until the end of last season

Games: 25
9 wins
8 draws
8 losses

Other noticeable stat: 9 clean sheets

There’s obviously the reality that he had L1 players with a point to prove instead of our prima-donna’s but if he gets into them and manages to make us harder to beat ( not difficult from where we’re at currently) then short term he could be an option!

36% win rate for Oxford now deemed our level.

Life under the midget.

The concerning aspect with him at Stoke, they had just been relegated and had some big egos in the squad, he utterly failed to deal with them. I feel our dressing room his similar. He works best with low budget, honest players, small teams

There's probably something in that and a very valid criticism. That's the only job where you can really say he failed completely, at until this season, nobody has done any better for them. If he's appointed to the end of the season, I'm ok with that as certainly more pedigree/success than many of the others ever been linked to.

Wasn't Coleman sacked by Rudkin in Belgium?

Cmon give him credit, he also relegated Sunderland when they were in a very similar situation to us

well O'neill didnt, they had Richard Hughes there, it wasnt GON bringing in the players

I'm sure it was a joint effort as Oneill had to put them in the Team when they sold a load of players.

The Owner was looking fo instant success. To be fair Iraola has done a good job since taking over.

I like Coleman as a manager seems a nice guy, but other than his time with Wales his cv is pretty weak.

The last thing we need is a “nice guy”.

I think a lot of the current links to managers like Coleman are very much agent driven leaks to the media. I imagine there will be agents and managers offering their services doesn’t mean we are interested or approached anyone. I think it will be a week or two before anything happens, much like when Rodgers left and Smith eventually came in, Stowell and Sadler were given the chance to to try and get us back on track. Think same will happen with Kingy.

Can't believe some of the shit people believe, we aren't talking to Coleman.

Random journalism.

Except someone saw the back of his head on a treadmill down New Parks. It's happening.

My lads former PE teacher. He said he couldn't coach any goals out of my son and he's at Jordan Ayews level.
