Considering they want a permanent appointment by the sounds of it, I honestly have no idea where they realistically turn to right now. Other than something absolutely rotting.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to phrase 'permanent manager'. I think it just means they don't intend to let King have it for more than a game or two—it doesn't necessarily rule out a longer-term interim manager to the end of the season. In fact I suspect they'll probably go down this route.

Andy King until the end of season will largely depend on tomorrows performance and result….

Why?

Correct. Good ol' Kingy at the helm. Sorted. Let's see how it goes. Shall we go for a beer; better put it as a diary entry for the next board meeting to think about starting it.

Scrub G Alexander. Not interested.

For me, give it someone like Nige or Rowett until the end of the season, then try to get Carsley or Solskjaer when the job is a lot more appealing.

If anything it could be less appealing in the summer.

With relegation of course, anything other than that then I don’t think so. There will be money to spend, a more attractive wage budget and a lot of deadwood will be gone. The opportunity for a complete rebuild intrigues managers.

These players will happily fold in any relegation battle. League 1 looking more and more likely.

Genuinely, need some horrible git in now who will crap out some 1-0 wins. I don't care about style or whether he can build us for the Premier League. We just have to stay up.

The expectations vs the squad quality is so out of kilter it’s insane.

We've seen this before; there is a stench around the club and when the rot sets in it is so difficult for the club and players to get out of it.  This time it has been faster and more dramatic than 07/08 where there was several years of slow decline before the relegation.  It is going to take a certain type of manager to get us out of this malaise.

Totally agree, they will have to be desperate. There was someone on here who only a couple of weeks ago said we had the best squad in the league on paper. And another one calling people idiots for allowing us to think this squad was bad cause it was all Marti's fault. Some people are genuinely delusional.

We do have ability.

However all that ability wants out.
