Never seen a manager try and preserve themselves to the detriment of a club as much as Rodgers did that last 18 months here but it's great to hear it said in a statement that's going to be read out everywhere tomorrow morning. Might change the media narrative around him a bit. Doubt it because part of his rise to where he is has been getting so many journalists as pals. 

 

Going a bit deeper, it's actually quite alarming behaviour from him. There was stories from a the board member in his time at Liverpool who said he would be offered signings and say no to them and then go to the media and say there's no money available. Sounds like he's done similar here with his contract situation. Strange, strange man.

In hindsight did a great job for us for maybe 2 seasons. After that it became toxic & like the interview above self preservation. 

 

I think time will show him to be one of our best managers who just stayed for too long. Unfortunately we are still paying for that overstay right now.

Fantastic to see his downfall. He is hugely responsible for our shameful decline.

Nope not joking, a decent source tells me he passed up any compo so he didn’t have to sign an NDA. I assume he’ll bite back at Desmond but he’ll have to be careful if he does as Desmond has very deep pockets.

Not only deep pockets but very well connected. He's actually a very nice individual.

Interesting! Hopefully he does go for the Celtic Board and his whole "Elite" manager schtick comes falling down!
