This is what's so delicious about it for me - there is surely no way he gets an EPL job, and his ego won't hack the championship. He'd need to do something pretty special somewhere abroad to even be considered for a top level job in England. Could be time for an international job, although as he can't spend money and enrich his cronies, he'd be unlikely to consider it.

He's always says he classes himself as a coach. I don't see how International football works for him. He'll fall out with the strong characters quite quickly but wouldn't be able to develop any of the rough diamonds (i think thats how he put it).

If Forest had waited i could have seen that happening, as i think they are still in the mindset that they can flash the cash and he would be the consultant they needed to push on. I don't see Wolves or West Ham being an option. I certainly don't think he is up for a West Ham style relegation battle with toxic fans.

Its got to be Spain or Italy for him to rebuild his career. Only, i have a niggling feeling Chelsea might be interested if they push out Enzo. I know he will hate the transfer policy  but i bet he would think he could change that.

Now THIS is how you treat that man.

Instead our gutless, spineless board sat silently and cowered whilst he lied, publicly undermined them, threw players under the bus and rode roughshod over the reputation of the club.

Pathetic.

This 100%

Rudders & Top probably sending him 'u ok hun?' messages as we speak

Fundamentally it is everything wrong with Leicester. Absolutely soft as shit we are.

Here's a good read on relations between DD and Rogers, Copied from the above site.

"Every player signed and every player sold during his tenure was done so with Brendan’s full knowledge, approval, and endorsement. Any insinuation otherwise is absolutely false. His later public statements about transfers and club operations came entirely out of the blue. At no point prior to those remarks had he raised any such concerns with me, Michael, or any member of the Board or executive team. In reality, he was given final say over all football matters and was consistently backed in the recruitment process — including record investment in players he personally identified and approved."

Over the last several months we've all had to speculate about the extent of BR's involvement in player acquisitions. BR has strongly implied that a number of players signed by Celtic were foisted onto him. I will be very interested to see whether BR challenges that version of events.

If BR does in due course challenge that version of events then he must also challenge Desmond's contention that : “When his comments were made publicly, I sought to address them directly. Brendan and I met for over three hours at his home in Scotland to discuss the issue. Despite ample opportunity, he was unable to identify a single instance where the club had obstructed or failed to support him. The facts did not match his public narrative."

A number of posters are leaping to BR's defence, however, I think it is better to wait and see how he responds to Desmond's Statement.

.....which has filtered down to the player's on the pitch. Been like it for far too long now. This then leads to the disconnect between fans & the team, which we most definitely have.

A very intetesting read on that site. It seems they have many fans who don't like the Owners either, Which I find strange considering the success they've had since his takeover.

Well, I won’t judge another clubs fans opinion on their owner, as I imagine we’d be judged the same.

My response to that really is that the success they’ve had is either

A) Expected

B) 50/50

Reading between the lines of Celtic fans opinions, I’d say that they can have both a crap board and Rodgers also be exactly as said crap board have described. They’re not mutually exclusive. And we know from our own experience that their board aren’t lying about BR

Like a warm service station prawn sandwich, Celtic will be feeling the lingering pain of his tenure for some time with the dross they’ll have to shift.

I wonder how many of the Celtic youth prospects Brendan’s son managed to sign up to his agency.

Claudio Ranieri won us the Premier League then was leading us to relegation when he got sacked.

Brendan Rodgers won us the FA Cup then was leading us to relegation when he got sacked.

If Ranieri returned to the King Power he would be deafened by cheers.

If Rodgers returned to the King Power he would be deafened by jeers.

The reason? Simple.

Claudio is a lovely human being. Brendan is a ****.

Although he was never going to relegate us, the same applies to his short term replacement, Martin O'Neill.

I think it will be great to see Hearts win the league but I really want to see Martin O'Neill to do well at Celtic even in the short-term because I love the man, but also because if he does, it will really show Rodgers up.

I find it staggering that some of our fans are still supportive of Rodgers and would have him back. I imagine it's the same people that are happy with Top as our owner. I also imagine they enjoy watching their partners get banged by other people.

Celtic would be stupid to go back to Postecoglu imo.

Ok but it was Ange's signings that made Rogers winning the Scottish premiership and it went tits up when he started to sell those players and bring in his own players

So rogers to postecoglu to rogers to postecoglu..weird way round of management

Edit: i was wrong Lennon replaced Rodgers. Celtic certainly like returning to managers... living off past glory perhaps.

Hes a busted flush now imo. I don’t think any EPL side would touch him now anyway but especially after Desmond has rightly torched his character in public. Hes a pretty powerful figure with a lot of friends in high places so I imagine he’ll be doing his damnest to make sure Rodgers doesn’t find a new job on these shores very easily. He threatened him with this first time around, in the summer window before he left, describing him as a “terrorist”.

I also don’t think Rodgers ego allows him to go and take a middling championship type club so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him slither off without a trace. Maybe end up in Saudi or Qatar or somewhere like that to be reunited with his first love; money.

If you were hiring and Brendan applied, or his agent put him forward, you would pick up the phone to Desmond wouldn't you?  Its just good due diligence.

I find it staggering how many of your fans are hoodwinked by Rodgers.

Surely up there in the SPL his poor management is more apparent given you lot should be romping the league every season really?

I read a comment on your forum last night from one guy saying that he didn’t pay too much attention to the game, as he only went to protest, but that it was nice to get a good win playing decent football.

I don’t think he understood his own irony (though I know the protests are about things beyond that Cnut being sacked)

On your post match Falkirk thread though, every single post was praising the football or commenting on the difference in performance. It’s only 10 hours ago, but do you think your fans are starting to join the dots?
