The club are a disgrace chucking Andy King, with no managerial experience, under this freight train to manage a bunch of hapless, gutless and weak willed excuses. See you all at the march…

Chucked under the bus by his cowardly bosses.

He should show these cowards up and resign.

People saying this aint on kingy...

He's changed nothing, hes been heavily influenced by marti, hes not seeing basic errors like sering ayew blowing out is ass at 55mins, i mean the fact hes starting him is bonkers. We all complained that marti was constantly doing the same thing, and expecting something different.

A loss is a loss regardless, but i would still prefere to see a different setup, 2 up top? Anything..........nope same setup different day.

He isn't a manager and there is no reasonable expectation that he would be though.

He has been making the exact sort of decisions and mistakes you'd expect from an inexperienced coach that's been thrown in at the deep end as a manager.

He only started Ayew today because the only other option is Daka who played 85 minutes on Tuesday.

We've barely got the staff to coach a new system into them and it would be a brave change to make in a relegation battle. Not to mention we can't go 4-4-2 because we only have the two aforementioned pony strikers, so what even could the change be?

He's being hung out to dry by our incompetent clown show of an ownership.

Kings not a quitter. I think sooner or later he will get a result, we aren’t a honking as we were, admittedly still honking but they are pressing and running a bit more than we were under the fraud . We could do with James back. Defending is our biggest issue. We have to play VK and Aluko imo.

There are similarities with the silence from the board to the manager with 12 months ago and Ruud. We went on that horrendous run of successive defeats, not scoring at home before relegation was confirmed six games before the end of season. Looks familiar…

Says he is helping out, but probably delaying the management decision being made. Made it clear he doesn’t want the role so should step down to force the hand instead of being used as a friendly scapegoat

Love the man, he deserves to do whatever the fvck he wants to do at this point.

Id love him to clear out tomorrow, tell Top to fvck off and sell up, then return to a deserved hero’s welcome under new ownership

It has now been 20 days since Marti Cifuentes was sacked, and in that time interim boss Andy King has overseen three league defeats and an extra-time cup exit. He is in the dark over the manager search.

Asked if there was an update, he said: “Nope. I’m sorry to keep letting you guys down about that. It’s not a question for me. I can’t answer you on that.”

Then asked if there had been any explanation over the delay to appoint a new boss, King said: “No, nothing like that. My remit was to take the team while they’re looking for a new manager. I’m sure they’re looking for someone and they’ve been speaking to people.

“I’ve not had time to be searching for answers. My sole focus has been on trying to get the team prepared, trying to get the team doing the right things, and trying to get us climbing up the table.”

King did confirm that at no point have the club asked him to take the position for the remainder of the season.

He added: “We’re all on the same page in terms of I’m doing it while they’re looking for a new manager.

“I’ve said to you before, I don’t want the job, I’m not going for the job. I’m just doing it while they search for someone more permanent.”

They should be truly ashamed of themselves. Put King in a horrible situation because they knew the fans wouldn’t turn on him.

They were 100% hoping he’d win a game or 2 and that would be that till May.

Im so ****ing angry at how incompetent these guys are.

He cares too much and given he's probably the nicest bloke to play for us, certainly of those in the legends category, it's crap to see.

There was a spell in the first half where it was the best we've retained and moved the ball all season. Unfortunately, given how fragile we are, losing in extra time is another hammer blow for the confidence.

Obviously he's made some mistakes. And yes, he's looked like a rabbit in the headlights - and clearly not ready for the job - from the off. But if Cifuentes wasn't a major reason for our plight, then King is far, far less so.

And yet, remarkably, it's starting to look like, all along, the board's Plan B was to give King a lengthy interim stint. If so, why didn't they try this out at the end of last season, when there was nothing to play for? And why didn't they make clear that King would have a considerable stint this time round, so that the players understood that they couldn't cross him and expect someone else to be in charge five minutes later?

The supposed move for Maresca was the most transparent and insulting move of all. They weren't remotely interested in a high profile appointment, never had the funds for it, but still wanted it out there. In truth, they were hoping against all hope that there was a bounce under King, despite the fact that he didn't want the job, and they hadn't established him as anything other than a game-by-game custodian. Meaning, they weren't giving him the best possible chance of success.

There was never the money for a major swoop, but they thought it would satisfy us that they were doing their job. 'Oh, well we stuck with Andy King, but we tried for x, y and z' (who'd never have entertained it in the first place) or 'oh, well we ended up with Martin/Coleman, but we went for x, y and z'. It's an embarrassingly transparent lie.

And yet, that lie doesn't work when it gets to three weeks without a manager, after four more defeats, and when your sole supposed target is someone that the biggest imbecile on earth would know to be utterly unwilling to entertain the post. That's how incompetent and removed from reality they are - they really thought it would wash.

King is the only one who has actually taken any sort of accountability.

He’s been asked to do a job to help out the club he loves and has said all along he isn’t ready for it permanently.

Not saying he has got every decision right but he shouldn’t have been out in this position and he is working with a group of players that either can’t be arsed, are extremely low in confidence or have been thrust into first team football before they are actually ready for it.

He is about the only one in the dressing room that cares about the fate of the club as much as the fans do.

How do you know what goes on in the dressing room? You been peering through the glory hole?

He isn’t that type of character. But I do agree with you.

Certainly not the type to turn down a lucrative Leicester pay day when he's not up to the job.

Likeable bloke, but this club has paid the man more money than he could ever have dreamed of making from the game.

Always love Andy - he is a crap manager but that ain’t his fault - I hate top and rudkin for me liking Andy king less - absolute horrible horrible men

King is an often underrated, but genuine club legend. Been there for the entire roller-coaster, from start to finish.

Love him.

But that doesn't mean that I won't realise and accept that he's out of his depth as a manager - even at Championship level.

We need someone else to help us stay up. If that's what we need. But if staying up means that Top and Rudkin stay, I'm not convinced it's the best for the club in the long run - as completely mad as that might sound.
