Leicester City had a scout watch Palmeiras centre-back Bruno Fuchs in action against LDU Quito last week, according to ESPN Brazil.

 

According to a report from ESPN Brazil, Leicester City have become the latest European club to scout Palmerias’ Bruno Fuchs. The 26-year-old is a Brazilian centre-back, currently on loan from Atletico Mineiro.

Fuchs has a £3m buy option in his Palmeiras loan and they will trigger it. However, that does not rule out the possibility of a deal as they could look to make a quick profit.

Extremely unlikely we're signing a player directly from South America, even more unlikely we sign somebody whose buy option will be exercised. Far too much complexity for our clowns all round. If we (needlessly, oh wait, makes it more likely) sign a centre back it will be a Jamal Lascelles type figure, rather than just playing Nelson and spending the money where we need at LB, CM or upfront.

To be fair I think it just shows the club are getting desperate financially.  We have a backlog of merchandise with Fuchs name on it and can probably get away with recycling his old shirt.  Rumours that they want to change Janniks number to a 9 so they can offload some JV9 stuff as well.  Though if they do that I reckon they'll get some returns!

Actually think the last time the club advertised a scouting role on the website it was for someone based or willing to work in South America.

 

I shared it with a mate who scouts for Blackburn in the Essex/London region as he's a Leicester fan but he didn't fancy the move abroad.
