I've asked this question before... but exactly who is out of contract next summer ??  ....

From the 1st team I think;

Ricardo, Winks, Ayew, Soumare & Daka

Faes cupping his ears to us after scraping a win against Barry Bannan and a bunch of kids seems a long, long time ago now.

With the effort? Im sorry but how can anyone of watched that and say the players didnt put in a shift. The quality was massively missing however and the attacking game plan

Nah I didn’t see enough effort again last night , it was pathetic

Not a chance. More like 21-23,000

Yeah sorry @Muzzy_no7 I was at work last night and genuinely didn't see any footage or the goals etc until later and then saw all the gaps

understandable why but piss poor and indicative of how badly Top has run us into the ground

protests needed

The second half was an all too familiar story and Middlesbrough deserved the point. The overall performance was better in terms of application but aside from that, still not good enough again. To match the work rate of the opposition should be a minimum requirement but it isn’t with some of these players.

LCFC insta account posting highlights of Ayew's pen.

Thank god for that, I was worried I'd never see its magnificence ever again.

Among various minor deficiencies, like not taking any shots on goal at all, the issue of defence is now glaring. Our defenders don't create, they only destroy; there were just a couple decent forward passes by any and all of them yesterday. The rest were just long balls into the opposition's hands. 35% possession at home....we are really scraping the bottom of the barrel now, aren't we?

It's so depressing from what we have achieved over the last 10 years. Last night was awful. Felt sorry for the backline as second half was an onslaught. We lack pace in midfield and up front. We get the ball wide too late so Fatawu has 2 men on him all the time. No leaders on the field and just feels so lethargic. Can't honestly see any improvement. Ayew gets the ball back to goal and goes backwards or holds up the play. We have no counter attacking now. Can't see any improvement happening. Ramsey was our only hope for some creativity but he's now out for a long period. It's all miserable.

Thankyou ...Ricardo I'm tempted to keep for his experience knowing he will not play a full part .... the others ... bye bye and take a few others with you

I wonder when we'll have a manager that once we take the lead we actually try to score another instead of thinking we can see it out because season after season we lose so many points from winning positions, rodgers was the master at this, we seem to think we can hold teams off it rarely works but we keep on trying.

Perhaps my memory isn't what it used to be, but when Marti arrived, didn't he say that when we score one goal, we would then push for more goals rather than sit back and try to defend a one goal lead

Could be, doesn't seem to be happening.

We were genuinely dreadful, again. No ambition whatsoever to get a second or even try to keep hold of the ball, even against ten men at the end. Not sure I'd say Boro deserved to score an equaliser necessarily because they weren't much better but we definitely deserved to concede one.

A terrible game that at least had the consolation of getting a victory until the worst seeing out of a game against ten men you will probably ever see. Do we keep the ball, slow it down, play it sensibly? God no, let's sit deep, give the ball away and invite pressure on. Would have been an undeserved win but you see it out.

I was looking into it and since the start of last season we have had 26 home league games. We have scored 22 goals. 3 in a game once. Maresca's football wasn't always appealing but you went along thinking you'll see goals or at least spells of pressure and attacking play. The last 15 months, under three managers, has been appalling "entertainment".

1. I don´t think we deliberately sat deep and tried to hold onto the lead, we were just unable to keep the ball for more than 5 seconds, allowing Boro to dominate possession. This from a team of experienced players. Example: from the free kick after their man was sent off, we (Ayew) had lost the ball within 5 seconds.

2. Do they ever practice throw-ins? Other teams, like Boro, take a throw and 3 seconds later they´ve got the ball under control and are building an attack. Nine times out of 10 we have lost the ball within 2 seconds of taking a throw. Can they not make runs infield to receive the ball  or to leave space for a ball to feet?

3. What is wrong with Mavididi? In the 92nd min, his stupid attempted back flick to Daka on the half-way line (instead of controlling the ball and running with it) went straight to their centre half, setting up their next attack. He seems to have lost all confidence and interest.

No issue with the result, we were terrible and the game management was atrocious. I feel for the defence, wave after wave of pressure, because the midfield and attackers couldn't string 2 passes together. I'm glad Nelson proved what we all knew, but let's see if Marti picks him again.

Sorry, I thought they were a lot lot better., they played us to death.
