Yup!

Crappy Derby have Morris banging  the goals in and crappy Norwich have Sargeant. Wrexham have Moore, Brum have Stansfield. WE HAVE NOBODY.

Only as good as your striker, eh?

Guess it's division one - here we come.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

According to Chat GPT

Patson Daka’s last league goal for Leicester City was scored on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in a 5–0 win over Southampton at the King Power Stadium in the EFL Championship.”

It’s a tough call, my shout in the summer was to offer Danny Ings 1 year but so far for Sheff Utd he has no goals in 8 games. We should have been in a position to poach someone who had a good championship season last season but finances ruled that out. Were left with a flop, a veteran and essentially a trialist. Best hope if for one of the youth to come in but can they get double figures in their first season?

I can bring my boots - I am 65 years old but I think I could finish one cross per game

I’m 66 and can come off my marker quicker and show for it better than Carranza so far.

Be happy to see 1 to be fair

I remember those heady olden  days when we’d put in 1, maybe 2 crosses in a game.

ChatGPT is weirdly terrible at providing accurate football statistics. The other day I was interested in finding out when the last time we lost to Derby in the league was and it claimed it was 2004. Knew this was nonsense because I remember us losing there under Pearson - I checked and sure enough it was 2013. You’d think an LLM would be able to fairly easily scrape data off Wikipedia or whatever to get the right answer but I find with this sort of query it is very frequently wrong.

And Daka didn’t even score in that Southampton game 😂

Bet it gets baseball, basketball, American football and ice hockey spot on.

This has easily got to be the worst set of strikers we have had since i have supported the club.

Growing up and paying to watch anyone from David Kelly to David Oldfield, Ian Ormandroyd to Ian Marshall, Ade Akinbiyi to David Speedie, I always felt that even that bunch could score a goal. I have never watched my team and looked at a team that has the likes of Carranza and Daka as options and thinking there is less than a 10% chance they will get a goal. I am more optimistic that a James, Ramsey, Monga or Fatawu might do something but these strikers are shockers.

Lets hope we are a few points away from the play-offs (or in them) come the Transfer window as we may be able to go again and shake things up, starting with the cancellation of Carranzas loan and Daka be punted out to Wrexham for a few million.

This isn’t technically true.

It depends what tactics you play, as if you take a team like Mourinhos Chelsea in 04/05 they won the league with 90+ points.

Frank Lampard was the top goalscorer with 13 goals and Gudjohnsson on 12 and Drogba on 10.

It does help though, if you can keep the ball out at the other end. They had a defence of Cech, Terry, Ferreira, Gallas, Carvalho …. With Makalele sat in front lol
