Club Statement

We welcome the statement issued today by our supporter groups and representatives from the Fan Advisory Board.

Some of the chanting heard from sections of our away support at Norwich on Saturday crossed a serious line. Abuse or language that incites harm towards individuals, or discriminates against anyone, has no place at our Club, in football or in our society.

We also want to make clear our support for our staff and leadership. Personal abuse of any kind is unacceptable. The people who represent Leicester City work with dedication and integrity every day, and with the Club’s best interests at heart. No one should be subjected to targeted or hateful language while doing their job.

We are proud of our supporters for calling this out. It’s a shared responsibility across the whole Leicester City family to ensure our game remains free of this kind of behaviour and language.

It’s always been clear how much passion and love our supporters have for their Club. It’s what makes Leicester City special. But we ask all fans to consider how that passion is expressed, and to ensure it never crosses a line that undermines the values that can bring us together.

I did hear a chant which i couldn't make out. I wasn't sure if it was "someones going to die" or "your going to let the club die" but judging by the statement it sounds like it was the first one. Shameful if this is the case and hope the supporters are given bans.

Only time the club communicate with fans is when they have chants or mean words aimed at them. Not bothered that they haven’t responded to fans frustration for the past 4 years.

I thought it was that Rudkin out related.

Although these chants about Rudkin are sick, this initial fan advisor board statement that's triggered a rare club message is all a bit cuck.

It's all a bit vague isn't it. 

I've seen nothing anywhere on this until just now. No one mentioned in the statement and it's not even signed off just ends.

The chant was about Rudkin getting killed basically. Whilst I agree it crossed the line, the chanting is somewhat vindicated as people have to step over the line to even be acknowledged.

Disgusting chant that crossed the line, but what do you expect from d1ckheads that also chanted 'football in a library' during the minutes silence, some of lcfc fans really are the lowest of the low

Chant was clearly too far, but, it's taken this for the club to finally acknowledge and respond to the fans frustrations. We've been in free fall for several years, the club refusing at any point to acknowledge this.
