Hi all just to say despite very personal negative rhetoric against Rudkin and Top. I have applied.

 

Quite frankly love Top and Rudkin, always have. Those chants the other day were appalling and couldn't have happened to a more competent director.

The report said we’d look at anyone even if they are currently at another club. 
I’m not sure we will. 
Look who we’ve hired as managers in recent years and it’s only Rodgers who was at Celtic. The others have been readily available.

Before you had your own channel I don't believe you'd vehemently oppose and take the stance you've taken Lox, that's my opinion. Either way listening to Tops interview now it seems something that's happened VERY recently by some of his wording meaning the chants worked as intended whether they were abhorrent or not.

What 'stance' have i taken? saying people shouldnt sing for someones death??  The fact thats considered a 'stance' and not just normal behaviour is wild mate and says more about you.... For the record, yes i would have said it was wrong before BTG

No one is actually going to "cut rudkin from head to toe" like was being sang. Nor are we "by far the greatest team the world has ever seen".....they are meaningless football chants. You are purposefully being obtuse on your responses here as clearly I'm not saying the chants are particularly palatable....but they are words not to be taken literally.

 

And in this instance, words have signified some form of change within the club FINALLY.

I've already said multiple times I agree that there isnt an actual threat to his life lmao... But singing it is wrong. I completely agree that the chants have impacted the timing of all this news! But the process would have begun earlier than Saturday.

Fans holding the club to account and protesting more and more over the last couple of years are the reason these changes are being made and we can agree that is a great thing!

I actually think this will have been in the works after the first few weeks of the season. They're probably so clueless they thought this squad was going to walk the league. Now it's dawned on them that we really are in a bad place and could be stuck here for a few years: we need a major overhaul in the playing squad, empty seats are appearing and we've taken out loans against future TV deals which we might not receive.

 

Also think it's dawned on them that after years of treating supporters like customers they've now got the very thing they created. Empty seats and people aren't queuing up to come anymore. 

 

Don't really have an issue with Rudkin going upstairs. He's a useless DoF but I will accept he probably helped Top after his father's death more than we understand. But it's still failing up to get him out of the way.

 

Worried who we get in though. Rudkin is still DoF and if you want the best people to come in, that is the role they want - it's why Steve Walsh left. You can call them a technical director but if they're really doing a DoF role, they will want to be called and paid for being a DoF.

 

Plus, we've been a basketcase for years. There's no way Cooper, RvN and Marti were our first choices. I'm not sure how attractive experienced people will see this job. Unless it's made clear Rudkin/Top have no real power over them.

 

This should have been done years ago!
