Skipping this going Christmas shopping in the morning and watching then Boro v Aylestone Park. The result and performance last night just proper peed me off. To go from decent performance Saturday to that.

Saturday was far from a decent performance....yes we won but other than our 2 goals we were awful

Time to drop Winks. Gone after the summer anyway/ hopefully sooner. Might as well try and play Skippy into some sort of form got years left on his contract and not going anywhere. And at least he runs around a bit.

                      Begovic

Ricardo - Okoli - Vestergaard - Thomas

                James - Skipp

   Fatawu   -   BDCR   -   Mavididi

                        Daka

Winks not trying as hard is still more effective than Skipp.

Even if Winks is going in the summer, we still need to play our better players whilst they're here. We can't rely on Skipp, he's absolutely useless.

So, probably a 3-0 win then..

If we win this game, I’ll spend the day wondering around the city in my pants and a pair of pink flippers.

If you drop winks you’ll have to play a midfield three, with Hamza at the base, Skipp to press and James the box to box.

Not again.  You've been warned about that.

Can anyone see when our next win will be?

The league is utter dog shit, we might well win tomorrow... that's not the problem, the problem is when will we put a substantial run of wins/unbeaten together, as that's the only way of cutting through in this league.

If we go win two, draw one lose two all season... we're basically Preston.

We know our performances aren't acceptable and the supporters deserve so much better.

We need to continue to work hard in training and pull together to get ourselves where we need to be.

This will be a player statement after tomorrows match.

Every game we could lose win or draw. Whether we're playing bottom or top, to me anyway, it feels like there's an equal chance of any result.

Most of our games come down to individual moments going for or against us, with a little dose of, how many players fancy it on the day.

Which makes Sheff Utd at 3/1 look decent odds.

The gap between 2nd and 17th only being 8 points feels pretty wild, even with only 17 games gone.

Well I didn't give us a chance against Stoke but we got three points, so who knows.

Perhaps we should follow the Everton game plan. Get Daka to slap Faes in front of the ref in the 10th minute

Id still want Faes booked for that.

The pre match presser could have been from literally any game from three of the last four seasons. "We had a chat at the training ground and we spoke about where we're not doing well. We'll look to put it right for the fans".

BORING.

BORING.

It’s all the more concerning that they don’t seem to be aware of what’s going wrong, otherwise they would fix it.  Marti just rotates and hopes for the best.  It doesn’t matter who he puts in if they all follow his lack of tactics.

It will be the same as always.  JV walking football, inviting pressure and causing their own problems.  Gets caught out at the halfway line.

Full backs that call for the ball but will always send it backwards and greedy wingers that are all wax no wick.

Martí Cifuentes Pre-Match Press Conference

On this week, after Southampton 💬

“We had honest conversations about the things we need to be better. It has been an important reflection point. I’m here to focus on how we can perform better and that has been definitely the approach.”

On returning to Filbert Way 🏟️

“It’s so important at home we create the feeling we’re strong at home. We know the table is so tight. It’s important at this time of the season to get a good dynamic and rhythm.”

On Sheffield United ⚔️

“They’re a team that started the season not in the way they wanted. An experienced manager, who knows the club, then comes back. Definitely, the team has improved. They have players who know the division very well. They’re in a good moment.”

Injuries

Goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk has been absent since withdrawing against Middlesbrough on 4 November and Asmir Begovic has come into the XI during that period as our No.1’s condition continues to be monitored in Seagrave.

“Jakub has been feeling better,” Cifuentes told the media on Friday, ahead of Saturday’s 12:30pm GMT kick-off against the Blades.

“Obviously, not much training but the good thing is he is feeling much better. We’re going to have discussions [around selection] and take the decision today.”

Okoli, meanwhile, will remain out with an injury sustained at Norwich City on 8 November and is expected to possibly be back in contention at some stage over the Christmas or New Year period.

“We were waiting for some tests to get an answer when he could be ready,” Cifuentes added. “Unfortunately, those tests came back with news he will be away probably for a few weeks with a knee injury.

“When he will be available for selection, it’s difficult to say if it’s before or after Christmas, but it will be around that.”

On Nelson’s condition, who also picked up an issue at Norwich, he said: “He’s feeling better and better. He’s been training individually in the last couple of days in the pitch.

“He's got good feelings and actually it has been more positive than we’d expect in the beginning and the plan is to start training with the team next week.”

Updating on the rest of the squad, the Manager also confirmed that Souttar – yet to feature for the Foxes this term – is back in team training. Ramsey and Kristiansen are also working towards returns.

“Everybody is progressing well,” Cifuentes continued. “Harry is training back with the team. It’s very good news for everyone but I’m glad especially for him after such a long period away.

“But obviously he will need to get some rhythm. Aaron is progressing well but not close yet and then you know the last [update] about Victor. Everybody [else] is fine.”
