They won't, but I wish they'd just fuk off.

Simple minded cretins. All of them.

Are there any Union FS posters contributing to a reasonable debate on here?

Oh. I wonder why not.

If you are UFS, please disclose yourself.

I thought not

What? lol

Him going away is even more reason to use him today.  Given we know we're going to be without him it's not much of an issue if he picks up an injury.  If it were 3-0 though I reckon he might have got Evans on.  Though at present none of us know whether Cifuentes sees him as a striker or as a winger, so maybe the striker role is irrelevant in this case.

This is a point. He played a lot in the academy off the right. But he has played down the middle and has an outrageous goalscoring record.

The FA cup game in my opinion needs to be used as an experiment to test some of the lads in the academies. Get Lorenz in, potentially Motsi on the bench and give Evans a go up front. We need to at least get some of them in and let some of them have game time.

Quite the character arc for Bobby De Cordova-Reid. From zero (hardly playing, and when, it was out of position) to hero (finding his place in attacking midfield, scoring some great goals). 2nd in goalscoring right now, on par with Ayew, just one goal behind James.

Very pleased for him. Then again, it just shows what terrible business Daka was.

Positives?

Three goals, two of them fantastic ones.

Team effort, I can't really find fault with any of our starting on-field players (sauf the goalkeeper, see below).

Negatives?

Stolarczyk's "pass" that led to their goal. What the heck was he thinking?

The drop in performance after going 3-0 up. Not for the first time that we've seen two completely different halves. Needs ironing out by the manager.

Tactics were spot on today. I don’t think that’s a valid complaint on today’s performance (plenty of other times). Completely sussed Ipswich’s style. Dealt well with them trying to get an overlap on the left side all the time. Took advantage of their single deep midfielder.

Yeah, we didn't allow them to play and they had one big chance at 1-0. Had we not given the goal away and given them a boost then the last 20 would have been straightforward.

We do need to create more but the work was done early by starting positively. We have been fortunate in previous victories but not yesterday.

Really noted in the last few games how much players are covering for one another. Bobby, James, Skipp all noted in RB/LB if they've been part of the build up of a move to ensure we aren't hit on the break

The most satisfying thing yesterday was their left back falling over, trying to win a free kick (for the 67th time) and us scoring directly from it.

Because of the state of officiating at this level I was absolutely convinced he was going to give a free kick. Took me a while to celebrate.

Watching it back, it's absolutely the right decision. But even the commentators were calling him unlucky. It's one of them that they're taught to do and we've almost become accustomed to seeing given. Well done to the Ref for showing some common sense.

He did on that occasion... fell for it on a few others though.

We played well yesterday.  A balanced side at long last, dropping Winks, Faes and Soumare has helped.  Two wonder goals and a well worked third.

Skipp, Nelson, DE Cordova Reid, Ayew and Fatawu were superb.   James his normal steady self.

Personally would prefer Begovic in goal over Stolarcyz not convinced by him at all.

Can't understand the hype over Ipswich.  Thought they were a long ball team, they were poor considering they spent 50 million in the Summer.

Good news too Daka off to Afcon, hope he stays there, woeful footballer.

Hopefully, we will now build on the last three performances (2nd half Bristol the exception).

Onwards and Upwards.

Great performance. Much more direct.

Not surprised, the minute we try and tap the ball around the back, we let one in.

Spot on my friend...

Its my biggest Bugbear about the team, the tippy tappy 'possession base' style they seem to revert back to at times.

It's needless, and just invites unwanted pressure, our defence isn't the greatest, so why tempt fate in the first place.

It seems counter productive to stop doing what they have been doing  which give us a 3 goal lead and start pi$$ing around at the back.

If it's to get a breather, fine, just do outside the oppositions 18yd box not ours

But don't do it for to long as its boring as hell to watch.

The top teams are moving away from it and the mid table prem teams move the ball forward fast. Its boring dated and ineffective.

Yep, true. We are perhaps showing some signs of trying to adapt now but it isn’t a quick process and will need some recruitment to match. A shame Daka is busted as he should have been better suited to how we are approaching games currently.

It was nice to see the team not sit back and defend 2nd half like last week. Mind you Ipswich were pretty poor bar the few minutes we gifted them a goal.

We're mixing it up now which is much better with long Balls and quick transitions. Great to see the Wingers passing at times making it harder for defenders to figure them out.

A win and two Goals to remember , What's not to like.

Many good performances but foe me JJ just shaded it,  typified by his long covering run when Ricardo was caught out of position and put it out for a throw in.

Daka’s biggest contribution yesterday was to win a free kick in added time to give us possession. Never known any other player who can run around so much without getting near the ball. Will probably be brilliant at the AFCON!

He lacks any belief in himself, so runs around a lot behind defenders so he can’t receive the ball, and if finally he can’t avoid being passed to runs into the back of the defender, knowing that it looks like effort.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player more in need of a move away and fresh start

Already excited for people to be shocked at the next bad result.

The bipolar reaction to results is amazing

Only conceding 2 big chances to 1 is decent for us to be fair. If Fats keeps banging in 60 yarders were gonna be fine 10th to 4th is still on!

I read this tweet earlier and I think it's completely true. I think there are very much two angles you can view the game from.

Relying on screamers hasn't really been applicable this week. Of the 8 goals we scored, 5 were within 15 or so yards and one was a penalty.

Yes, actually.

When I read back what I'd posted and the responses, I was somewhat embarrassed and can only put it down to some kind of out of body event where somebody else had done the typing. I think his name is Jack Daniels. lol

Although, they are a bit Marmite tbf.
