35 years later, May 2026. We beat Blackburn last game of the season with a Jordan James winner to survive in the second tier and send West Brom down.

It is written.

What would it take for people to stop clapping that montage before the game. Will they still be doing it if we're 5 points adrift of 21st with 3 games to go, or say before Cambridge Utd at home when midtable in league 1.

Someone needs to hack the montage screen so instead of the fox it's Tom Hopper in the hotel bed

The huge rebuild that is needed would be significantly more difficult if we do go down. I think the 6 point deduction means we'll have enough to just about drag ourselves over the line, but doubt it will be pretty.

Hard to judge which fixtures will be easy or difficult towards the end of the season as some teams end up on the beach, or rotating ready for playoffs.

I think 5 wins keeps us up.

Cifuentes has just been sacked. We're still under caregiving duties.

Okoli was red carded in the first 15 minutes of Andy King's first ever managerial role in his career.

The rest of our matches will be 11 v 11, I'm not scared of any other team.

Lads just need to turn up on the day and do the job, nothing more nothing less.

The hysteria and panic just plays into the hands of KPFC fans who accuse us of always looking downwards.

We will reasses the situation after the Birmingham game, enjoying a delightful win.

Problem!

We're not doomed to League One, but it's a distinct possibility

Based on form to date, trending to finish 19th, and only 3pts above the drop. So we're on thin ice and it's all so tight down there that any of the bottom 8 could go down.

The worst thing is, the results that could effectively relegate us have already happened - 1 point out of 12 at Home vs Portsmouth, Blackburn, Oxford and Charlton.

5-6 wins out of remaining 16 will likely keep us up. And obviously Norwich (H), Wednesday (A), Portsmouth (A) and Blackburn (A) (final day) could be crucial.

I think we pick up, subject to bringing a manager in.

Personally think the uncertainty around the points deduction has had a bigger impact on the squad than people realise

Yeah we basically need a little bounce from new manager/new signings and/or West Brom and Blackburn to keep being rubbish.

I'm a Norwich fan for the next 2 games and West Brom have a tough 3 fixtures

We need to somehow fix our home form. Start winning our home games and we’ll stay up. If only it was that simple.

still have to play Saints, Bristol City, QPR, Norwich, Preston & Swansea at home

KPFC fans will love to go to Nottingham for a day out at Notts County away.lol

I'm certainly not a KPFC fan, but you can't deny that wouldn't be a great day out amongst all the issues we've got. Depends who's leading us at the time I guess.

No point looking at those and guessing what’s going to happen in this league. It’s not like the Prem where the difference is so vast you can sort of rely on top teams coming out on top against bottom sides. The gap between the top and the bottom is nowhere near as big. It’s a dogfight and you can only attempt to take care of yourself (which is the most worrying thing).

I want us to get relegated, better chance of getting a promotion next season and gain momentum.

If you are actually Ayew - then it explains your performances.

Which is why I think we should leave any appeals now. We need to just get on with it knowing the outcome.

The lower we go the more the montage will watched (by some)with inexhaustible pride

100%

Take it like a man, dust ourselves down, pull together, and win some ******g games of football.

If we had no deduction, we should have been pushing for playoffs. Play as if that is the case.

Lets stop feeling sorry for ourselves. Pi55ing me off.

Last time I looked (but frankly haven't double-checked it) and before we got the points deduction, it meant we have 5 games against the teams that were around us (we were 16th), 4 games against the bottom 8 and 7 games against teams in the top 10. While it's looking pretty grim at the bottom end, more worryingly the top 10 teams will have promotion and play offs to fight for, so none of them will be taking their foot off the gas.

Our record against teams around us is hideous, plus one of the positive results at Norwich was against a very different club to now.

It's happening.

2022/23 season all over again.

Two useless ***** running this club into the ground. Overpaid, shite players sleepwalking through games.

We're so ****ed

I don't actually think we'll go down, this season.

The issue, as people of my mind set keep trying to articulate, is this upstairs setup will only continue to take us backwards. And it might be next season, the season after, or in four seasons time, but with them in charge it will happen.
