If funds are limited, is a new GK really the pressing need?  Mads will be on a decent prem wage aswell now, I’d imagine we’d have to cover that?

he’s obviously better than Jakub, but I’d really prefer others positions to be improved…

Stolarczyk is really struggling with most aspects of being a goalkeeper at the moment

Begovic had his moments when he was playing as well

Vieites seemingly isn't going to get a chance either

Not saying it is that bad yet but we saw with Ward how detrimental a poor performing goalkeeper can be

yeah and that’s fair enough..  I feel like either wing back or maybe  even replacing vesty could be a better  option.  A better defense would give the GK better protection and help us going forward too..

We need CB, LB and GK.

Antonín Kinský and Mads Hermansen (Tottenham and West Ham)

Spurs do not have a track record for doing business with their fierce London rivals but that trend stopped in the summer when they signed Mohammed Kudus – and they have been moving closer to landing another player from West Ham in the mid-season window. There have been talks over a swap deal that would see Antonín Kinský head to West Ham, with Mads Hermansen going in the other direction.

a keeper who is basically dreadful, needs replacing first. Some of the goals he has given away are diabolical, but it is true that we have a few who are almost as bad.Sad state to be in

right. It’s an awful position to be in when, instead of looking to see how you can improve your team with a quality signing, you’re actually thinking “ who’s the worst? Let’s replace them!”

Balanced out with some very good saves and on the whole keeps out more than expected.

I would like some more leaders (who arent OAPs) on the pitch in positions we cant fill with academy players.

Based on the rumours of championship clubs being in for him, I suspect Mads isn’t keen on this as he wants to play before the World Cup. He’s not going to start for Spurs.

Good in theory but I worry about confidence.

He was ridiculously good for a season and a half, verging on heir to Schmeichel good, until his injury but came back pretty poor after doing his groin in and was atrocious in his first couple of games at West Ham, where he can't get a sniff now. £20m was a great deal for us.

Now he's clearly a far, far better keeper than Ward but let's not forget that he looked a pretty decent deputy, at least in cup games, until he had a few stinkers when unexpectedly promoted to No. 1 and ended up as cannon fodder simply because he couldn't be easily replaced, and he's never recovered from it.

I'd welcome him back with caution. Stolarczyk has been bad, Begovic is ending his career and I can only assume that Veites couldn't catch clap in a brothel given he can't get ahead of either of them.

My worry that after his start at West Ham, is he the same keeper he was from last time. His form dipped after his injury.

If he turns back into the Mads we saw 1st time round, it's a no brainer. He's better shop stopper that Jakub and he'll potentially save us from relegation.

I find it baffling how few people on here realise quite how many points he won us last time he was in the championship.

He could probably earn us more than a striker. We haven’t kept a clean sheet since 2024 ffs

Apart from the 3 earlier this season?

It is 24 games since our last though.

I would love to Mads back, Kasper would be an even better shout

Kasper would not be a better shout, have you watched him this season? If he was coming in as 2nd or 3rd choice maybe

If there is any legs in this I'd snap their hand off. The only other option of a GK was Patterson who's gone to Milwall and after Saturday I am even more convinced Jakub is not good enough - He got away with murder with the disallowed goal.

Areola is keeping his spot at West Ham so if we can get it done, then lets do it.

Feel like this is linked to Enzo… “if you get Mads back I can work with this” or “come back to us we’re getting Enzo”

Kasper's been done for about 4 years.

If a woman goalkeeper conceded the goals Hermansen has conceded in the last year there would be shouts to reduce the size of the goal.

Since his injury he has lost the power in his legs that made him a good shot stopper and now he cant reach the corners of the goal due to his height.

If he comes back he almost certainly will not be the same as the last time he was in the championship.

Jakub also had an injury but at least he makes the save more often than not (saves it 67% of the time).

Since Hermansen's injury every shot at him has been a coin toss whether it goes in or not (saves it 55% of the time).

He was fantastic for us but his spell at West Ham was genuinely atrocious. Danny Ward level.

I worry that teams have worked out that he can’t deal with a set piece being dropped on his head.

But any chance to get him should be taken IMO.

West Ham not getting Kinsky from Spurs now leaves them a man light, so hard to imagine this happens now - unless he really is pushing that hard to play football before the World Cup.

Only the game against Hearts he made an incredible save in Injury time to get Celtic a point
