I was at this game with my then girlfriend, now wife this was our 2nd date and I persuade her to go to her first game.

 

We were in the Popular Side (East Stand) surrounded by Rangers fans. one of them in front of us was f-ing and c-ing every other word I was pretty embarrassed not knowing whether to say or do anything especially as he looked twice as big as me . He suddenly turned around and apologise to my girlfriend turned back and carried on exactly the same, fortunately that broke the ice with my girl and we had a good laugh about it.

 

Somewhat later the story below exploded as we had hundreds of Rangers fans around us suddenly lobbing beer bottles on to the pitch with the police diving in and dragging some of them out. Funnily enough I don't remember us being frightened.

I was also at this “friendly”. Loads of Rangers fans came over from Corby and spent most of the match chucking bottles around. Afterward in the chippy, a couple of them tried to nick my scarf but me and my mates hung on tight.

Not a big deal for most of you guys, you see a debut all the time. This is the last game I’ve been able to get across to, & happened to be the debut of this guy. Came off the bench against Boro in a 2-0 win.

Vincent Kompany goal for Manchester City. Probably the loudest I’ve ever heard a stadium in England after that. What a view from the away end as well.
