I was probably in the camp of just about scraping safety before tonight. Now, we're down.

 

And it's not just the result but the manner. I think a crappy 0-2 would be recoverable from. But not that.

Too good to go down? No not at all. We are a shambles. Any confidence we had would have completely gone now.

Yep, this. I get why fans focus on going forward and the limitations with the team in that aspect, but the defence is and has always been the biggest problem.

 

If you can’t see out being 3-1 up at home when are you going to defend well enough to win games?

To avoid relegation we need a Manager (King is a coach) who will start by tightening up the defence so that we can grind out 0-0 draws, like West Brom are doing. Easier said than done though.
