The footballing contract and everything is all done, they're just sorting out peripheral details now like where they're going to build the first team's kennels for when they have to bring their dogs and how soon Rowett's backroom staff can have their initials embroidered on their Seagrave Spa robes.

3-4-3 with Richards and Monga/Mavididi either side of Daka. Aluko as the RCB to provide even more support on occasion.

NEXT

The main impact will be players pressing, passing and moving. The basics. Musaka stretched the attack with simple forward passes into space.  Daka and even Thomas ran into that space.  Mavadidi did his usual style.

Monga plays too much like Ayew and Mavadidi because he hasn’t been coached on how to play in a team. Sad we have wasted the chance to see him develop this season.

But whose going to fall over at the slightest touch and kill every attack and be out of position up front?

Daka of course

he spends almost as much time as ayew on the floor with the added bonus of providing assists to the opposition when defending

Apparently, Rowett's Father was a Prison Officer, hopefully his Dad will have taught him, early on in his life, how to deal with 'miscreants'!

His dad was the governor of HMP Camp Hill on the Isle of Wight (amongst other prisons)

Everyone happy with this?

I dont think theres a lot he can do. We may survive if we get JJ and vestegaard back early enougb, with no further injuries, but i think we have a rag tag bunch of players that cant play together, theyre either too young, too old or just simply not good enough, no matter what they're being paid

The board ard so slow and ponderous that by the end of the process, after day after day of refreshing browsers and looking at bettting odds, we would feel just happy to have a proper manager in place. Over 3 weeks to get this sorted is unforgivable in our situation. I hope he goes well though.

It seems that Gary is having trouble deciding which golf clubs to buy, and even more trouble persuading Rudders to caddy for him.

As long as Dufkin stays, I would be happy with Big Sam.

Yea I heard the snagging point is that Rudkin is offering slippers for use in the spa, but Rowett is digging his feels in and wants flip flops.

The nearly 4 weeks its taken to 'secure' his services, no. But that its virtually done, yes. His only aim this season is to get us to 21st, grind out about 15pts and do enough to stay in touch with Pompey, Blackburn or Baggies. The last few weeks should tell you that no-one else wants the job.
