Just out of curiosity if he keeps us up would people want him to get the job permanently?

Or even if he takes us down but we do improve week on week but we just brought him in too late?

Depends. If you get get someone like Lee Carsley, no.

The players finally seem to be playing within a clearly defined system when defending.

Hopefully Rowett can sort out our attacking system next and we could actually turn into a decent team....

Yes the club and squad needs rebuilding. He won’t be the ‘next level’ guy but he’s guy to lay a platform

He's doing an excellent job two tough away game plus he in after 32 games of mostly poor management and unmotivated players. I think to except him to get winning results straight away is a big ask but already signs of massive improvement, should have got him 14 games ago to give the guy a chance but keeps up or down I'd give him the job if he's carry on getting playing well.

I'd imagine his contract will extend automatically if he keeps us up. He be daft to not negotiate that.

There is only so much you can do with the number of bozos in this squad but he does seem to have got us doing the basics a lot better. Raised the floor of the team.

I'd sooner we had him than West Brom put it that way.

If he was in for the Charlton game we would be 3-4 points better off if not slightly more than we are now.

Why has this taken so long?

Fair play Gaz, all we want is a bit of fight!

I agree he can be pleased with steadying the ship but let's not kid ourselves. idgaf where Middlesbrough and Stoke sit in the table. Neither is any better than us - a completely shattered club.

If we'd had a manager who played tactics and demanded work rate; if we'd played Faes at LB all season, Vesty and Nelson from the off. Played Skipp, Winks, JJ as a midfield trio all season. If Ramsey wasn't injured. If we'd actually invested a bit of love in Daka to get his confidence going. If we'd ****ed off BdcR and Thomas. I still swear wed be well capable of winning the league.

We still look capable of a rick at any moment but the difference in application is stark.

A long way to go but let's hope we keep improving. Wins are going to be needed very soon.

It’s obviously only two games but he feels like the perfect man for the situation the club is in as a whole.

He feels like a Leicester gaffer.

Leicester 0-3 Norwich.

But no one REALLY knows if carsley is any good do they.  Rowett has a whiff of NfP about him.

Yes I’d keep him if assuming things continued progressing well. It takes two managers in succession to turn a team around. The first one a builder, like Pearson followed by a second to take things on, like Ranieri. Puel for all his faults was a builder, Rodgers (for a time) developed the team. It’s rare for one manager to do it all on their own. And Rowett could be a builder.

With all the change we'll likely have off the field, he could be the consistency we need on it

He's more organised, knows defence is key and a 1-0 win is all that matters

Feck all this fancy football crap

He will get a CS with us in the next 4 games! I’m certain of it
