Read this and thought of us as well - the seeds of this were sown in the preseason. The manager has to find a way to sort this.

This is us what feels like every season. Total farce in the lead up to this season. Pre-season 2024 was just a tour to see how many European second tier teams we could lose to. I remember Maresca's face during that ridiculous Thailand tour in 2023 as well.

 

Our demise isn't a surprise. An absolute joke how badly we've been run.

V QPR I  thought we played quite well for the first 25 minutes. Took the lead with a very good goal. Then looked completely shattered.  QPR then dominated and although they didn't really create chances just kept pressing knowing, like every other  team, Leicester would capitulate and gift goals. I said earlier Lascelles is the only answer to defending and that is a wild thought.

Seems like they get the whole thing backwards.

 

Pre-season tours that negatively impact the team's preparation for the season and baffling marketing decisions with hated crypto and gambling sponsors, turning our noses up at Pepsi's sponsorship when we could have had some really cool kits with them where the logo really works, some absolutely awful merch instead of leaning into our history as a clothing manufacturing city, failing to capitalise on the city's links to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh and their local communities.

 

We could have made so much more revenue than we have and prepared the team better for seasons gone by.

We set ourselves back in preseason by taking ages to do anything. We take ages to sack a manager we knew we needed to sack, we then took ages to appoint another clown. Its probably going to be Rudkin rinse and repeat in the summer, almost certain we will get Russell Martin in for the League 1 season.

Took an age to sack RVN, took an age to appoint Cifuentes, took an age to sack Cifuentes, took an age to appoint Rowett.

 

Nothing changes until Top and Rudkin are gone, anybody pinning their hopes on McCaron is deluded - he's reporting to these clowns.

Plenty pointing out the issue with chopping and changing managers. 

 

It doesn't allow a manager to properly assess the squad and by the time, he's sussed them out, the manager is sacked.

To be fair all of the last 4 have continually used Ayew. If you can’t work out he is a waste of space within one training session, you deserve to be sacked

If I was him I'd be laying into all of them and trying to get a reaction that way.

Yep he did. In terms of time and space we might be. In terms of the here and now we are miles away.

 

He’s trying to give confidence I guess, but it’s the 1st press conference from him where he’s starting to sound like everyone that came before him.

The Plonker has no place in the 11 and certainly shouldn’t be wearing the armband at any point.

Bring Lascelles in for Okoli. He HAS to get up to speed to give us a chance. 
 

Drop Mavididi. Crucial. He’s been dire since 2023.

He’s not a fan mate he’s the gaffer. He has to install confidence in them and have them on his side. Ain’t gonna come out and say these lot are crap. 
 

I’m pretty sure on the training ground he’ll be laying into them.

Last summer our final pre-season game was against a Fiorentina side who were only just beginning their pre-season and it was mostly against their academy.

 

Oh, and we decided to give large amounts of game time to El Khannouss, Soumare, Faes, McAteer and Hermansen.

Yeah there is a degree of urgency as other teams are picking up points, losing your home games and picking up the occasional draw away isn’t going to be enough
