We spent more than Birmingham and Wrexham combined despite 0 permanent transfers.

Is somebody on the take?

Yes, I'd say so. Something as opposed to somebody I reckon

Would the agent fees mostly be related to the managerial sackings and appointments?

Struggle to see how we could spend almost 6m on fees with ZERO signings?

Agents, the scourge of the footballing society.

I'd say international money - I'll choose my words carefully as they've been removed before - moving around to disguise its tracks is the scourge of football....certainly our club

Sorry this is tiny, but these are the corresponding transactions. No mention that any manager sackings relate to payments. However, there's a footnote on the FA site that mentions payments may relate to transactions not listed, due to agents being paid in instalments much like transfer instalments.

Marlon Fleischmann, MD of Unique Sports Group is Rudkins latest "best friend", involved in 26 transactions during this time period. 5 of them with us, only club he dealt with on more than one deal in this time.

How have we spent that much without signing anyone?!

That aside, Ipswich, Southampton and us are the three biggest spenders. All relegated sides. Ultimately, if everyone else is throwing money around to agents and that’s the only way to compete, what are you going to do?

New best friend but has a lot of good young players on his books, including James and Ramsey plus Lascelles. Also Marti agent.

Less bent numbers and more dodgy association of convenience.

Who needs scouting anyway

We seem to have a new one each season. John Morris while Vardy was here. CAA through cooper association. But this one feels like it runs a bit deeper to be honest. I'm not suggesting they don't have good players on their books, they're a HUGE agency.

But as I have said previously. Our Chief Scout spent 80% of his career doing deals for Sam Allardyce.....

Unique Sports Group link goes back to Brendan days too (his agent), Janick for example and Wout.

So giving £8m for zero players?

What sustainable business would spend that?
What an embarrassing club we’ve become. The wage bill is just unimaginable. Obviously we’re managed by complete idiots. League One here we come. What a sorry state we’re in!!!

I find these links to agents peculiar and also infuriating - why do we only seem to get their deadwood while never being able to shift any of ours via them?

Oh yeah, because it saves those two plonkers from having to actually do anything.

The most senior agent there is William John Salthouse, for what it's worth:
