cityfanlee23 Posted 2 May Posted 2 May My instinct is to say "I don't believe that for a second" with the Ferguson rumours, but this is Leicester City. I think I'll just take a sabbatical if it's him.
LCFCCKEANO Posted 2 May Posted 2 May Think to me these are the classic rumours- you get the fun names, then the controversial ones that people lose their heads about, then the eventual crap hire who is slightly better than the controversial ones 1 1
lcfc_forever Posted 2 May Posted 2 May Feeling more positive with McCarron involved - we need a progressive manager who won't take sh*t from players, have a clear style of playing, likes developing young players and understands the modern football style of high levels of fitness and physicality. A few people are mentioning experience but our most important manager - Pearson - was relatively inexperienced. The key is they get the culture right at the club as it's been rotten since towards the end of Rodgers' time in charge. 3

It's worrying that it actually sounds realistic under this ownership, when you consider we ended up with sacked by QPR and sacked by Oxford this season. 3

lcfc_forever Posted 2 May Posted 2 May Here are some options through an AI chat with Google Claude: Eirik Horneland - hadn't heard of him but was linked with the Aberdeen role and there was this write-up: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cm2r7ryggpzo Kevin Muscat Damien Duff Will Still Would add Fuchs as well, excited most by the idea of him or Duff as the potential manager. Need someone who'll bring discipline, reset the culture and get us pressing sides again, as well as bringing through the youth.
JimJams Posted 2 May Posted 2 May (edited) Davide Ancelotti after the WC? Don't want him, just we've been linked before and he was sacked by Botafogo and has since joined his old man with the Brazil National team. Edited 2 May by JimJams
ronnup Posted 2 May Posted 2 May League 1 is the ****ing wilderness. Itll be someone we dont like or someone we've never heard of

Don’t think he’d be interested and we can’t wait - the appointment of Marti came too late, the fitness of the players was lacking and the club were playing catch up since.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 May Posted 2 May I'd rather eat a human shit again than see us appoint Kevin Muscat 3

I thought you'd learnt your lesson after Cooper, van Nistelrooy, Cifuentes and Rowett. It's not healthy. 9

Ian Nacho Posted 2 May Posted 2 May Mobray is the obvious choice for me. Got Blackburn out of League 1 and made them a steady Championship side. 1
Claudio Fannieri Posted 2 May Posted 2 May Wellens or Fuchs both have that Pearsonesque vibe think both would kick this clubs sorry ass back to something like it should be.

I’m not convinced with hiring ex players. Prime examples are King and Rowett. A Pearson type manager I think we should go for is imo Michael Duff.

I'd have took Wellens after last season ,struggled abit this year but as with Fuchs ,it's going to be a gamble .We're a league 1 club and the appointment will reflect that .
NorthernFox Posted 2 May Posted 2 May Unless Big Nige has shuffled off this mortal coil, i think Darren Ferguson might just be worth a punt 1
