I honestly don't think Parker will be right for us. It's time we start thinking out the box and not the same old names again and again

Wouldn’t be right in what sense?

Managed nearly 140 games in the championship and averages 1.95 points per game.

Too good for us yeah

Still think we should try Ralf Hassenhutl.

Should’ve been him in Jan.

Still got two threads for this.

My intention with this one was to discuss who would likely come, ideal candidates and coaching staff etc and if anyone had any good ideas?

The other thread is a rumour mill with no actual rumours 😂

We all want this to be sorted ASAP, but realistically we might be looking at the end of may at least unless the person is already out of work, as european leagues will go on until weekend of 24th and I believe play offs happen that weekend too. Challenor for example, might be not interested in chatting as he might be in the division above us.

I know these lot taking their time doesn't equal good decisions, but we also don't want them to rush and make just as bad decisions.

Enzo was mid June, As was Pearson all those years ago. Main thing is its not Mid July and we've not signed a manger or any players yet.

No Idea about realistic candidates. But people might see us as an ideal place to build something, assuming its not too bad in the background and they have their hand tied.

Agree it’s worth waiting till mid June as long as it’s the right man and coaching set up.

I quite fancy giving Lee Carsley a try done well with England youth maybe a good opportunity for him and for LCFC.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for Carsley but I suspect he’ll continue with the Under 21s as it’s a much easier life for him

Scott Parker should be on the shortlist. I mean there won't even be a shortlist but if there was he should be near top of the list.

Is that you Jon. Don't think he wants to go from Premier League to League One. Delusion.

Rudkin out first before we start hiring managers please...

Not going to happen, unfortunately. But it might just be possible that his influence on the choice of manager will be less than it has been in the past.

I can't seem to find a list with odds that's consistent. I've seen a couple online, (which I won't name) and they differ greatly, and to the extent that they are meaningless. The favourite in one list, (Darren Ferguson) doesn't appear at all in the other, and neither list includes Gary Rowett. Surely he'd attract some odds.

Personally, I think Mark Robbins would be a good appointment.

If it goes on again all summer, I’d prefer it to just be Rowett. Underwhelming but is anyone we employ likely to be exciting with this lot in charge? Managers for me are a bit irrelevant at the moment till the board changes.

People actually turning their head at Parker - mad - we would be super lucky if he even considered it with the state we are in - I’d take him with a heart beat

Everybody would but he’s not gonna manage a club in league 1.

Agree. Despite his many flaws, Martin may not have been worse than Marti. One thing’s for sure - he definitely would’ve been better than Gary Rowett.

If thats the quality control standard we have we may as well hire a fan as manager
