Decent job getting stablising Bielefeldafter their relegation two seasons ago with a huge squad upheaval, got them promoted last season and got to the German FA Cup final, didn't really have the squad to do much more than a relegation fight this season. Plays a 4-3-3 where he wants possession and likes high-pressing. Plus look at his arms, Michael Appleton successor right there 😂 Apparently he's wanted by RB Salzburg though, which is undoubtedly a more attractive job than ours. 1

Knows the league and has likely took Stockport as far as he can - with a reasonably limited budget compared to several of other clubs in the league. Yeah they haven’t looked great in today’s second half, but I judge him on his results over the last 5-6 years. i don’t think he is the type of manager we will go for though, as much as I would like to see aggressive attacking football 3

Suppose that we are after him, or another manager about to finish off his season. do you think Managers like this wouldn’t leave their clubs literally days after a result like this and would prefer to at least have their 2 week holiday first, to allow the dust to settle????
LCFCCKEANO Posted 24 May Posted 24 May If it’s Martin the season ticket goes back- I go to watch with mates but that crosses my pain threshold 2

But you very rarely see League 1 clubs getting exotic with their appointments, now Stockport aren’t going up, Challinor has to be number 1 choice imo. 2

I don't know anything about him, But I can't imagine any of our clowns picking a fight with him. We also need a few players of the same build to survive in this league.
Wymsey Posted 24 May Posted 24 May Sean Dyche might be a little too busy at the moment.. https://mn2s.com/news/brand-partnerships/sean-dyche-teams-up-with-snickers-to-take-on-var-one-bite-at-a-time/ 1
Cropwellfox Posted 24 May Posted 24 May Reckon Challinor might feel he’s taken Stockport as far as he can, fans still very much like him, we’d need to buy him out. They simply didn’t turn up today sadly for their fans. 2
Popular Post winteriscoming Posted 24 May Popular Post Posted 24 May Will we actually learn from previous summer’s and actually get Challinor? I think we won’t and it’ll be the same as missing out on Rohl and Corberan. We’ll end up with someone like Will Still or Ryan Mason. 6

Having the attitude that the players are too good for the league and let them keep playing exactly the same way that had failed every week but never correcting mistakes. JV and Winks need to go so we can finally move on from the idea of Enzo ball without drilling in the tactics. Hopefully Nelson can be deprogrammed so he can stop be a JV copy. Mavadidi needs to go if we are to ever cross the ball and pass to player that bothers to overlap, we also need players that will overlap. King and the rest of the coaching and technical staff need to be binned off as well. They have no excuse for the lack of fitness and discipline.

I’m unsure if challinor might be a one club man I know he’s had promotions with other team lower leagues I believe, Smells a bit like Chris Wilder. its either going to be imo Russell Martin Will Still Or Some foreign unknown. 1

Why don't you look up Challinor's managerial history first ... to see how wrong you are.

His consistency throughout his career just makes him my number 1 choice. If Robins leaves Stoke, despite question marks over his backroom staff, he’d be high on my list too. I also quite like the thought of Fuchs. I’m still an admirer of the work Will Still did in France, but I think he speaks better French than he does English Russell Martin would of course fracture a broken fanbase even more. I’d be very surprised if it’s foreign, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Jimmy Thelin gets mentioned again.
