What’s worse is we will very likely have spoken to all of them before. Why bother bringing McCarron in at all

Surely we should be looking at net spend, which includes the full term of the contract. Rather than making a judgement on compensation alone. Say Leicester pay Stockport for the one year remaining. Challinor can't be on big wages, compared to that grave yard list.

Martin and Mason both "modern" coaches focused on possession and 4231

 

Gracia and Rowett structured 442 men

 

The worst thing about that list is it's still quite clear we don't know how we want to play and we're going to keep lurching from one extreme to the other.

I would prefer Top or Rudkin not to decide how we want to play. We need the right boss, and to empower him. Which is a long shot, admittedly.

I can see Martin here now.. Maybe it could work if he is allowed to buy the team he needs for his system 🫣

People will laugh at this but I agree with you! If it is RM that’s appointed he’s absolutely got to have his own players with the system he deploys. If he gets his own players in then I think he will succeed in league 1.

There are no players that can play a Martin system.

Even more in League one. We need to build a team that is robust... mentally and physically. Martin isn't the answer and never will be.
