Jordan Posted Wednesday at 13:44 Posted Wednesday at 13:44 I know we won’t get updates for a while and I still expect City to try to drag this on should putting this on the books after June 30 or some other date be an accounting shenanigan. Still, I find myself checking this thread at least daily. This is my new doomscrolling. 1

LestaLad Posted Wednesday at 14:02 Posted Wednesday at 14:02 All of this to get the fans underwhelmed, for it to come out of nowhere we’re getting Challinor.. Rudkin’s got you all on strings! 1

lcfc_forever Posted Wednesday at 14:04 Posted Wednesday at 14:04 (edited) Interesting to see what BBC RL broadcast today having reported the interest in Martin, surely they would have been briefed by the club? Not in the club's interest to put this rumour out if it wasn't close reputationally if he was to turn it down as other candidates would know they were the 2nd choice. TonyN11 Posted Wednesday at 14:12 Posted Wednesday at 14:12 Graeme Souness had a successful spell as Southampton manager. We'd need to give him total control over transfers.

We’re talking about Top and Rudkin, logic goes out the window. We went back to 3-4th choice Rowett and then invited Maresca to his first home game! Reputation means shit to them. 1

Typically, you're right but don't think BBC RL run this without some go-ahead from the club.
Winstonthedog Posted Wednesday at 14:49 Posted Wednesday at 14:49 Sadly Martin is going to be just another pay off in a long line of pay offs .... I often wonder what colour the sky is in Top Rudkin world .... Will they ever learn
moseeds Posted Wednesday at 15:21 Posted Wednesday at 15:21 Rudkin is going to end up managing us at this rate.

Which is the big problem really because it’s simply not the direction we wanted the club to go in. Whether he accepts or not, we now know that’s the road the club want us to continue down…. It’s just all more evidence that we’ve learnt nothing and have no desire to change course. what’s most alarming, is that if you read between the lines it likely means top thinks the issue was that the managers we hired were the reason for our downfall and not everything else. I think a full on reimagining should have been on the cards after crashing us to our lowest ever point Edited Wednesday at 15:31 by Lambert09 4

We were playing free flowing fast paced football and were ripping the league apart, while all the fans in the stadium shuffled in an awkward silence looking at their feet
FosseSpark Posted Wednesday at 15:57 Posted Wednesday at 15:57 A weird schadenfreude part of me wants us to go to League Two. If only to be bought by Elon Musk, rise through the divisions and win the 2031 premier league with Vardbot (which is basically jamie vardy's brain with a StarLink implant and bionic legs) up front. I feel an AI / Robotics themed XI thread coming up...

honeybradger Posted Wednesday at 16:28 Posted Wednesday at 16:28 If they're so desperate for Man City style football just offer the Pep Guardiola the job and reimburse him by transferring him ownership of the club. Win-win for everyone.
