As for the match, its pretty sad how much of a non-event it is. I remember when we won the title, my dad who was around 50 at the time said that nothing else would top that for him, it was the pinnacle of his time being a fan of the club. He asked me the other day if I was bothered about going along to this and I told him pretty certainly that I wasn't. How sad that those who have run the club have driven people like myself to such disdain that I'd quickly shut down the idea of getting to spend time with my old man celebrating one of the happiest moments of his and manys lifetime. 

It'll all be about promoting KP it always has been. This is there last chance to attach the KP brand to something good at LCFC

How much better would it have been to just make an announcement along the lines of 'we wanted to celebrate the title win, but after this season our focus is on getting our house in order and we'll revisit when the timing is right'. 

 

The people going this are robots anyway, it's not like they would have complained we weren't doing anything.

 

I just can't get my head around how badly this has been handled.

If that's the case I'm not sure why they haven't announced him? Surely it would be a massive boost to ticket sales, not sure why they are holding back their trump card

The same debate was discussed on the Susan Whelan thread. In her case, she either signed off on the financial mismanagement if the club, or, she was a puppet and was obliged to sign off under orders. Either way, that's behaviour unfit for the role of CEO

I'd expect the latter. I expect McCarron will end up being similar and powerless, regardless of if he's good or not.

If someone wants to analyse where in the stadium  the sudden jump in ticket "sales" is it'll give us an indication of where the freebie zones are.

Well I’m going and going to enjoy it! 
And yes I’m an old lady.. I don’t take a flask or sandwiches but been going for 57 years started on the popular side at 17 and 10 years ago was best football times I’ve  had. I am going for Claudio and the lads who made that happen.

Christ when you see the whole of both line-ups and then see "legend" associated with Hamer, Konchesky, St. Ledger ffs, and then "All star XI" against those other names.

Bloody hell im as much pi*sed off with how the clubs being ran as much as the next person but the constant bashing over this game is getting a bit OTT. 
If you’re not going out of principle, brilliant 

If you are going, brilliant, and have a great time. 
God forbid folk go and enjoy a day out with their family.
