I sent a email asking what the exact criteria was and asked if they thought it was “fair” to people who had already brought tickets for the event and this was the reply

Thank you for your email. We appreciate the feedback on this.

The special offer is for supporters who went to every match, home and away in 15/16 season and 25/26 season, there were a good few who did that.

The club are recognising that loyalty and further information is that most of them never miss a match at all through any season.

Whilst we understand your point of view, the supporters in question do not decide when they can or can’t go irrespective of any offer later on, they just attend the matches regardless of date or time.

This is the reason for the offer.

We hope this helps.

Kind regards

Jim

Horrific.

So if someone missed a game because of a family death in 15/16 or 25/26… tough shit.

Given they’re stuffing up and sending emails thanking people who’d cancelled their season tickets for renewing, how do they know with any accuracy who did attend all the matches 2015-16 and this season? Ten years later and they’ve kept those attendance records down to the names of those who did in fact turn up (as opposed to holding a season ticket)? Doesn’t sound likely to me.

“Fans can bring alcoholic drinks into the stands - they’ll f***ing need them!”

Another rule they definitely wouldn't be relaxing if it had sold out, by the way.

The "Special Offer" is the thing that does it for me........I'll charge you plebs £25 for a shit sandwich or if you have been loyal to KPFC you can have it for free!

Rewarding loyalty sounds very North Korea / dystopian considering how shite we were last season. Missed a game due to a family emergency? Sickness? Bereavement? NOT LOYAL TO THE REGIME.

It feels like a big middle finger to the fans for daring to be disillusioned.

Rewarding loyalty sounds very North Korean?

I know we are all pissed off with the club but this is clutching at straws. And I’m sure if you missed one game due to a family emergency in 2 seasons and emailed the club they would sort you a free ticket.

God it would've been so easy to give an answer that didn't come across as smug. It reads like someone trying to pretend to be above it all in a reddit argument. Even softball customer service questions are going to shit now, has the club done anything good in the last few years? At all?

The irony is as well with this statement is they are offering free tickets two days before the game because they haven’t already brought one

the supporters in question do not decide when they can or can’t go irrespective of any offer later on, they just attend the matches regardless of date or time.

I don't like the tone of that email at all. It just comes across as condescending and that he knows best - which I've seen from him before. I've always thought Jim gets far too much credit on here myself. Never been particularly impressed in the very few emails I've sent to him.

He just isn't particularly eloquent.

I’d agree with the criticism of that last sentence, and you are probably right re offering it 2 days before is a bit shit and is an own goal- but genuinely, is offering fans that sat through every minute of last season a bad thing?

The only thing they should be offered is counselling!
