Such a shame this is going down the way it is. Absolute shambles. Seeing some of the old guard together today has brought back a few smiles, but if anything it makes me angrier at the club. An anniversary ruined by mismanagement and a complete lack of awareness.

Spot on. For anyone paying attention, this just makes reality so much harder to bare.

 

And, let's have it right, we're going to be bombarded with weeks of this mawkish shite once they've got all the footage they need from this. Club legends being played for chumps by the scum running our club.

Not even close thinking…. Rudkin has only just got back from leave, and Top hasn’t been in the country since “we relegate”. Plus Gary’s contract expires on Monday. So nothing will be done until he’s gone.

So my take on this

My life is a bit rubbish at the minute, recently lost my mum, disabled dad, wife had a stroke 4 weeks ago, cousin in LRI with stage 4 cancer, so I'm actually looking forward to 2 hrs release from stress, seeing our old favourites having a laugh, my ticket money going to charity, hopefully loros,  nice weather, 

So shoot me down if you like, but for 2hrs I might smile

Don't worry about what others think. Everything around it has been a circus but I'm sure the afternoon itself will be a nice trip down memory lane.

 

More importantly - sorry to hear you're going through all that. Sounds too much for a person to process, and I hope you have support in place for yourself (in addition to a deserved break at the football today).

 

Football can be a great support. Leicester have provided a similar service for me in the past. It's weird to say but one thing I found helpful when I have had a few periods of overwhelm is feeling a shared purpose with a crowd.

 

Whether happy, sad or laughing, it's therapeutic to share that emotion with thousands of other people - especially when you feel like you're experiencing shit things alone in your 'real' life.

 

Hope the day goes well and you get a much deserved respite from traumatic events.
