Why should people pay good money to support a terribly thrown together event?

I think people have been ripped off enough by the club this season without expectation to stump up yet again.

It's getting the numbers it deserves

I didn’t say it wasn’t, and I didn’t say people should pay money for a terrible event.

I was replying to a post which was talking about boycotting the match due to the owners. At the minute, I’m not going for the exact reason you outlined, but not due to the owners, the players who won the league for us deserve better.

About 5200 gone so far I think.

They'll be hoping Cremonese end their season today in the hope that Vardy will be there.

Why can’t fans enjoy an occasion remembering one of the best years of their lives ?

Rather than dwell on depressing recent seasons

You seem to want to forget the enjoyable past but forever bang on about last season, which is also in the past now.

Have you ever posted anything positive about anything?

Hopefully the new playing squad will go into next season with a positive mindset, as will many new season ticket holders glad to be able to attend all the games

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I've heard rumours that the club thought next weekend was Bank Holiday weekend and that would help with numbers. 🤣

Sadly I can believe that.

I once worked with a uni who forgot to book a venue for graduation one year, as they'd block booked about 8-10 years in advance. They ended up moving graduation back by a couple of months and tried to style it out

A week to go and they’re still asking people to buy tickets for a game that features squad players from our winning year against…… no one? lollol

You aren’t holding much hope for the all star team are you? You know you could pull a few in if you had some real ex legend playing and you could announce it. Maybe not even Leicester fans buying to see an ex Liverpool or United legend

Absolutely loving this, the club needs to realise nobody gives a shit about a 10yr anniversary after what the club has put us through the last 2 seasons. There so far off it nothing will change while Rudkin is here either

Surely this will be closed with unreserved seating in one block?

Otherwise stewards will outnumber fans.

I have still got no idea why anyone would want to waste an afternoon attending this and giving money to the twats in charge to boot.

The net proceeds are to ‘charity’ (if they ever allocate the money) to be fair and even if they haven’t got the biggest names, it’s still a chance to see some of the players who achieved our greatest ever achievement so I can understand why people would want to go.

Again, that’s not me saying we should support it as I understand the message being sent but at the same time, it is pretty sad that those players aren’t getting something they deserve.

Yup, It's literally just a parody, the whole thing.

I would imagine the attendance will be made up of people wanting to take their kids to a football match, without any real interest in who's playing, or Leicester City themselves...Or people who brought early, some what naively thinking that players like Kante, Mahrez, Vardy & Kasper would be playing.

Anyone who doesn't fit either of those reasons probably just have more money than sense, or are mentally unwell.

This event does not, in the slightest, do justice to, nor does it represent, that title winning season.

It's nothing short of a cheap attempt to divert attention away from the fact the club is falling apart.

On a side note, I read an article about Mahrez and how he felt he was kept unfairly at Leicester with interest elsewhere. Even if he was retired and living off Narborough Road, i doubt he would want to play.

Hilarious that the player announcements have stopped knowing they can’t get Mahrez, Kante & Vardy.

Perhaps they should get Ghezzal & Mendy to pretend they’re Mahrez & Kante as that’s essentially what they did when they signed them

It's a shame this event is being treated with contempt because it should be a good reason to celebrate and remember. But you can't have a reunion game while the best players from that team are still playing.

And it also shows how little the club understand about how disconnected the fan base is with the club.

Nobody?

Even this thread states 5,200 are going.

Stop assuming your opinion is everybody’s opinion

Let those who want to go enjoy it
